Chloe Tozer · List of Loves

After eight months overseas and coming off the back of a very long, hot Euro summer, we have freshly returned to Australia in time for Spring. We changed course slightly, arriving back a little earlier than we had initially planned to begin our biggest project yet, a little sprout due to arrive in December.

Spring to me brings all kinds of wonders, the colours and the sounds of nature awakening. My home is filled with local flowers from my favourite seller at the markets or freshly picked roses from my garden – the arrival of spring always inspires me to get back to it, pruning and replanting in preparation for summer. Being back in our kitchen again I’m being called to experiment. The change of season and spring produce, coupled with memories of all the incredible food we experienced over the past year has me dreaming of cooking and entertaining at home in the sunshine.

It is also the season for decluttering, so what better time to unpack our most loved pieces from storage. Unboxing our books should have taken an hour at most but turned into a full day of inspiration seeking. Selecting a ‘to read’ curation for our coffee table was a difficult process of elimination. Mixed in with new treasures we collected on our travels, I’ve been slowly restyling our home with fresh eyes. Spring means lighter coloured bedding and table linen, a fresh home scent, a new book for the coffee table or bedside and a wardrobe edition or two that will take me into a long East Coast summer.

Read on to see what’s on my wish list this spring and a little look at how I’m styling some favourite pieces collected over the past year’s travels at home.

Welcome Lady, our newest addition to the Tozer Clissold family <3

Vintage Lace Tablecloth
I purchased this beautiful piece from at a flea market in Sardinia with our entry table in mind. Our Vase is by Gaetano Pesce and will be full of fresh cuttings all spring.

French Photo Album

I always find it hard to source nice photo albums so when I found this one at my favourite stationary store, Melodies Graphiques in Paris it had to come home with me. I love the ritual of making an annual photo album and revisiting the memories over the years. For now it’s living in my art room until I have a free weekend to scrapbook!

Dolphin Bottle Opener

I found this silver dolphin bottle opener at a flea market in Morocco, it has such a nostalgic feel and reminds me of my childhood in the 90’s. It has found its place on our coffee table as an object rather than a bottle opener. As you can see this is our new puppy Lady’s favourite spot for a snooze too.

Sophie Bille Brahe Jewellery Box
My Sophie Bille Brahe jewellery box that lives on my bedside. I purchased this in Copenhagen from Lubarol.

Simrane Tablecloth

There is nothing quite like a table linen refresh come Spring. Whenever I’m in Paris I can't resist picking up a piece or two from Simrane. The colours of this set are perfect for our home.

Vintage Duck Bookends

The duck book ends we purchased from a flea market in Morocco for the soon to be nursery – more on that soon!

Baby’s First Piece of Art

A piece of art by Victor Cadène from Rigotang, our dear friends art gallery in Marrakesh. I was eight weeks pregnant when we arrived in Marrakesh and eleven weeks pregnant by the time we left so it was a very special time. We fell in love with Victor’s work while we were there and this piece will be the start of our first child's art collection.

Vintage Danish Dish

I found this vintage danish ceramic dish with a mother and child motif at an antique store in Ærøskøbing. I love to layer my special ceramic pieces on stacks of books on a coffee table or shelf as it feels homely and lived in.

Read my Copenhagen guide, including Ærøskøbing below…

To Wear

This green cardigan is perfect for cool spring evenings (also anything with buttons is a yes to accomodate this ever growing bump).

A perfect pink beaded bag from Pura Utz.

I love everything about this skirt! Paired with a button down and flip flops.

These Mary Jane Loafers in the perfect wine coloured leather.

Love these pants in a perfect new season fit!

This belt!! I love a wrap belt, especially since being pregnant worn under the bump over a loose mini dress.

Organic cotton intimates from my favourite brand.

For the Home

I wish I had somewhere to put these wall lights. Maybe the nursery?

I love this Damask fabric by Pierre Frey for a banquette seat or statement stool. The red and green are my pick.

Roger Capron’s coffee tables from the 1960’s sing spring <3

I already have this in red but love the blue too. A mini version of the larger jewellery box I purchased in Copenhagen. Such a great size for a bedside table and it is also one of my travel essentials.

This wool rug by Ward & Grey — a new brand discovery for me.

While we are on the topic of Ward & Grey – the table lamp of my dreams!!!!

Charlotte Ghaie, a new artist I’ve discovered through Sunday Salon. I love the romantic feel and colours.

A new read from Bacteria Books, one of my long time favourite places to buy books in Australia.

A set of tarot cards for the coffee table to pull out after a dinner party.

A fresh home scent for the season.

For the Garden

Garden trug for foraging spring produce from the veggie patch – I have the same one at home and use it daily.

An essential for spring gardening. I will be adding this chocolate colour way to cart.

Garden lanterns for outdoor entertaining – yes please!

Blown glass pedestal flower vase by Akua Objects for foraged stems.

This patchwork marble table is incredible! Spring is a perfect time to update or add new garden furniture. Will share a Substack on my garden and outdoor furniture selects soon!
