In my opinion, the best gifts are always the creative ones – not the ones elevated by a price tag or purchased off a gift guide (ironically), but the ones where you can feel the personal touch. Think handmade gifts, local brands, vintage finds, artisanal wares and pieces from emerging artists. Not just buying the cookie jar, but filling it with freshly baked cookies. Those little extras make a gift even more memorable.

Everyone has that friend who gives a beautiful handmade gift every year – a beaded trivet that makes you smile every time you use it, or a screen-printed bread cover that quickly becomes a treasured piece in your home.

I know a handmade gift isn’t realistic for everyone, but even a card can go a long way. Or get creative with your wrapping and reuse or embellish. To get you inspired, we’ve included a few ideas at the end to help elevate your gift wrapping this season.

We hope this guide inspires you to have fun curating personal moments for the people you love.

A beaded lace tie – a chic accessory for a well-versed dresser.

Sophie Lou Jacobson spiral coasters for the home lover with excellent taste.

This vintage Celine suede bag with a matching purse! The chocolate brown with the pop of blue and yellow is perfect.

A book that is on my list this year! From one of my favourite online book stores. Books have always been a gift of choice, selecting a title or coffee table book with a person in mind and being able to write a love note in the cover.

Handmade Venetian glass heart pendant. The sweetest gift for a best friend.

Extra brownie points to buy this caddy box with the heart charm to reuse as a bedside ring box.

This mirror from Toronto-based artist Katie Kohls. Everyone would find a place for this special piece.

The Loco Love Holiday gift box!! Love this years addition of the Christmas decoration – omg and the introduction of the new flavours in the box have my heart <3

These Garden Objects food covers make the perfect present for this year’s Christmas host.

Apollo, Frederik Bille Brahe’s cookbook new book. His first book Atelier September is one of my all-time faves, so I just know this will be a good one!

This Christmas, we’re bringing back the cookie jar! Filled with their favourite treat, homemade.

Good quality kitchen wears like these extremely chic stainless steel knives always make a great gift.

Vintage YSL espresso cups from RESEE, a gift for the romantic couple.

A very witchy sterling silver essential oil pendant from Sophie Buhai – I hope Jack sees this!

This beaded Zebra Bag from Turn Paris is so sweet and so chic. Etsy is also great to find unique pieces, then add a little love note inside <3

A trinket box makes a beautiful gift and our pick is this very special handmade box made from cast aluminum. Fill it with found shells or their favourite sweets. Adore!

This Sophie Buhai Scroll Belt <3 <3

A table Lamp makes a bold and beautiful gift. You can never have too many and this one would really have you in the good books!!

In love with this Laoli World lemon quartz necklace. Pair it with a bikini and a martini.

Matteau mini shorts for summer! The sand colour is perfect paired with red for a chic, festive outfit.

A velvet dress by La Veste is my pick for this year’s festive party dress!

Ok a bit of a special gift, but we had to include this Chanel chain belt with agate stones... think vintage belt in general as a Christmas gift.

A vintage shell cabochon link bracelet for summer and beyond.

Love the soft feminine feel of this towel by The Row.
