One of the things I appreciate about Substack is that it gives you more control than many people realize.
If you’ve ever thought, “I like some of what Donn writes, but I’m really not interested in the podcasts,” or “I only want the essays,” you don’t have to unsubscribe completely.
You can choose exactly what you’d like to receive.
For example, if you enjoy the articles but aren’t interested in the podcasts, simply visit:
https://kingschronicles.substack.com/account
You will often see a button that says “Manage account” or “Manage subscription” or “Manage what you receive.” That button just takes you to that link.
From there, you’ll see the different types of content available. Just uncheck the ones you don’t want, and leave the rest checked.
That’s it.
I’d much rather you tailor your subscription than stop hearing from me altogether. Different readers come here for different reasons, and that’s perfectly fine.
As King’s Chronicles continues to grow, you’ll probably see additional channels appear from time to time. Some readers may want everything. Others may only be interested in one or two topics. Substack makes that easy.
My goal isn’t to fill your inbox. It’s to send you things you’ll actually be glad to find there.
So if your interests change, or if I start experimenting with something new, remember that you can always adjust your subscription instead of deciding between “everything” and “nothing.”
Tip: this works with any Substack. Just enter the base URL for the Substack (my base is kingschronicles.substack.com) with “/account” appended to the end, and you’ll go where you can manage your subscription for that Substack.
