I was talking to friends, really lovely friends, who have been through this phase of children leaving home and they have shared stories of being in tears as they waved their off-spring goodbye.
My mind and heart are so full of my last child leaving home, I can but write about it to help me (and maybe you?) make sense of what this transition means ..

I’m going to have all this extra time.

Son got this on his 18th birthday.

When I turned 18 my grandma gave me money for a party.

Every year, since the boys were born, on their birthdays I have been into the garden and picked seasonal flowers to lay a place for them at the table and to put in a vase.
