After careful consideration and recent developments, we would like to inform you of an important update regarding FAR AWAY Round 2.
The venue for Round 2 has been changed from Thapar Institute of Engineering & Technology to Chandigarh University.
Over the past few days, despite repeated instructions to communicate only through the official FAR AWAY team, several participants directly contacted and emailed various authorities and departments at Thapar Institute. Due to the volume of unsolicited communication received by the institute, Thapar has decided to discontinue its association with this edition of the event.
We respect their decision and sincerely apologize for the inconvenience caused by the actions of a few individuals.
We are pleased to share that we have successfully signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Chandigarh University, which will now officially host FAR AWAY Round 2.
For the help you all can still call: Jagrit and Advithya (find no. from slack) for the number of Chandigarh University there will be a dedicated landline helpline available soon.
RSVP portal for will go live again tomorrow after 5:00 PM IST, participants who were unable to complete their payment before the previous deadline will be given another opportunity to confirm their participation. The new RSVP portal will accept fresh confirmations and pending payments after it opens.
Please ensure that you complete your RSVP and payment promptly once the portal becomes available, as seats will be allotted based on successful confirmation and availability.
Further instructions and the official RSVP link will be shared through our official communication channels tomorrow.

Participants who no longer wish to attend may request a refund using the official refund form:
Refund requests will remain open for the next 48 hours only.
Deadline: 13 August, 11:59 PM IST
Refunds will be processed after deducting:
Razorpay payment gateway charges
Transaction processing fees
Applicable GST charged on these fees
No refund requests submitted after the above deadline will be entertained.
The event dates and reporting timings remain unchanged.

Participants are advised to update their travel plans accordingly.
Please note that FAR AWAY, Zuup, Chandigarh University, and any organizing partners shall not be liable for any losses arising from changes to personal travel arrangements, including but not limited to flight tickets, train tickets, bus tickets, hotel bookings, taxi reservations, cancellation charges, or any other consequential expenses incurred by participants.
For participants interested in staying on the night of 23 August, a separate accommodation interest form will be circulated shortly.
Please fill out the form once released. Based on the responses received and overall demand, we will communicate further accommodation arrangements to interested participants.
If you have already filled out the previous Online Attendance Form, there is no need to panic.
Your participation status will be updated and migrated to the new system. We expect all eligible participants’ records to be updated by Friday, 14 August.
If you have already submitted the form, please do not submit another one until further instructions are released, unless specifically requested by the FAR AWAY team.
