Hello you 🤍
I hope you’re so, so well.
I am.
My family and I are now back in Denmark.
We’ve rented a house in the countryside.
We’re surrounded by nature, flowers, sunshine, hot coffee, the ocean, and the harbor.
Children playing, ice cream, parents holding their children’s hands.
Our mornings here bring me so much peace.
The first cup of coffee in the garden.
Fresh air. My dog happily running around and playing in the garden.
Away from constant stimulation, in our own little bubble of love.
Love is literally the whole point.
This morning, I read a quote that said:
‘‘If love is present, you’re already winning’’.
It reminded me of how we can let our shoulders relax and smile during every moment where love is present.
Sometimes, when it comes to romantic love—and I truly love deeply—it can scare me.
What if I lose it again?
What if things change?
In those moments, I try to lean into the present.
Into the now.
I try to notice the little things that represent love.
The small clues in every word and every action that calm me and reassure me that I am loved. That we love each other.
Other times, I turn to looping affirmations.
I recently wrote an article about how they can support us and help us rewire our brains for the outcome we desire—whatever that may be:
Months ago, I also wrote this article called:
It might benefit you as well.
Or hopefully add value to your life.
That is my goal.
That is my intention.
Today, I would love for us to dive into love.
I know it might be one of the most complex emotions—and experiences—to write about.
And we’re not here to define it.
But every time I put words to it, with intention, it gives me direction.
It calms me.
So if you’re someone who loves love, and who longs to feel at peace with it—to let it guide you—then read along.
You’re so, so loved.
Yes, you are.
Loop it, affirm it.
Let’s begin by reflecting on these words:
“Love is literally the whole point.”
When I first read those words, I paused.
Because if love is truly the whole point, then perhaps we’re making life much more complicated than it needs to be.
We spend so much of our time chasing.
Recognition.
The next milestone.
The next version of ourselves.
And while there’s absolutely nothing wrong with dreaming big and creating a life we love, I sometimes wonder if we’re forgetting what makes all of it meaningful in the first place.
Love.
Love for ourselves.
Love for the people we share our lives with.
Love for slow mornings, hot coffee, deep conversations, laughter, nature, and simply being here.
To me, love isn’t only a feeling.
It’s a way of living.
It’s choosing kindness when it’s easier to react.
It’s being fully present with the people sitting across from us.
It’s speaking gently to ourselves.
It’s creating something that might make another person’s day a little brighter.
It’s noticing the beauty that already exists around us.
Because perhaps that’s what a meaningful life really is.
Not one where everything is perfect.
But one where love is present.
And if love is present...
We’re already winning.
Next, let’s explore three things that can help us rest in love.
To feel safe around it.
And within it.
For me, the idea of forever can sometimes feel a little scary.
Because every day, love grows.
And I want so deeply to stay in it.
To let it be infinite.
When something is truly important to us, fear often rises to the surface.
That’s okay.
But if this is something you can relate to—during certain moments, days, or even seasons of life—then please stay with me and keep reading.
Let’s find a little more peace and reassurance together.
First: How to Stay Present with Love
Next: How to Find Calm and Reassurance in Love
Third: How to Love Through Every Action We Take Throughout the Day
I believe it all begins with our minds.
Our thoughts shape our emotions.
Our emotions shape our actions.
And our actions shape our beliefs.
Let’s become aware of our actions and begin at the root.
Because why not practice living with even more love, now that we know—in our hearts and in our bodies—that love is literally the whole point?
Let’s dive in.
One of the greatest gifts we can give the people we love is our presence.
Not our perfection.
Not having all the answers.
Simply our presence.
Because love doesn’t happen yesterday.
And it doesn’t happen tomorrow.
It happens here.
In this moment.
I’ve noticed that whenever my mind begins racing ahead—wondering what could happen or holding on to what already has happened—I stop experiencing the very thing I was trying so hard to protect.
Love.
So whenever I catch myself doing that, I gently bring myself back.
Back to this conversation.
Back to this walk.
Back to this cup of coffee.
Back to this hug.
Back to this ordinary Wednesday that will never come again.
Presence isn’t about forcing yourself to stop thinking.
It’s about lovingly returning to what is already in front of you.
One thing that helps me is asking myself:
“How can I love this moment a little more?”
Sometimes the answer is putting my phone away.
Sometimes it’s listening a little longer.
Holding a hand.
Giving a genuine compliment.
Sitting in silence together.
Laughing.
Or simply noticing how grateful I am that this person exists in my life.
The more present we become, the more we begin to notice love.
Not because it suddenly appears.
But because we finally slow down enough to see that it has been there all along.
Love doesn’t ask us to rush.
It invites us to arrive.
Right here.
Right now.
One of the biggest lessons love has been teaching me is this:
We cannot control the future.
No matter how much we think about it.
No matter how much we worry.
No matter how many “what ifs” we create in our minds.
The only thing we truly have is this moment.
And this moment deserves our full presence.
When I notice fear beginning to take over, I gently ask myself:
“What is true right now?”
Not what could happen.
Not what happened years ago.
But what is true in this very moment.
Right now, are we kind to one another?
Right now, do I feel seen?
Right now, do I feel respected?
Right now, is love present?
Most of the time, the answer is yes.
And that answer is enough.
Another thing that brings me reassurance is reminding myself that love isn’t something we have to grip tightly to keep.
Love grows through trust.
Through honesty.
Through choosing one another again and again.
It doesn’t need constant fear to survive.
It needs presence.
And when my mind still needs a little extra support, I return to looping affirmations.
Simple words I repeat until my body begins to believe them.
“I am safe in love.”
“I choose trust over fear.”
“I allow myself to receive love.”
“I don’t need to control tomorrow to enjoy today.”
“I let love in.”
Sometimes, reassurance doesn’t come from finding all the answers.
Sometimes, it comes from returning to ourselves.
Taking one deep breath.
Looking into the eyes of the person we love.
And allowing ourselves to simply be here.
Because love isn’t asking us to predict the future.
It’s inviting us to fully experience the present.
Love isn’t only something we feel.
It’s something we practise.
Every single day.
In the smallest moments.
I’ve come to believe that the life we create is simply a collection of the actions we repeat.
The words we choose.
The thoughts we think.
The energy we bring into a room.
The way we speak to ourselves.
The way we speak to others.
Love lives in those ordinary moments.
It’s making someone a cup of coffee without being asked.
Sending a thoughtful message.
Giving your full attention during a conversation.
Choosing patience when you’re tired.
Offering forgiveness.
Saying “thank you.”
Saying “I’m sorry.”
Saying “I’m proud of you.”
But it also means directing that same love inward.
Speaking to yourself with kindness.
Honouring your boundaries.
Resting when your body asks for it.
Believing that you are worthy of receiving the same love you so freely give to others.
Every action becomes a vote for the kind of person you want to be.
So before I react, I sometimes ask myself one simple question:
“What would love do here?”
That question changes everything.
Because love doesn’t always choose the easiest response.
It chooses the most intentional one.
The more often we choose love—in our thoughts, our words, and our actions—the more naturally it becomes part of who we are.
And perhaps that’s the beautiful thing about love.
It isn’t reserved for the extraordinary moments.
It’s woven into the ordinary ones.
One kind word.
One thoughtful action.
One present moment at a time.
That’s how we practise love.
That’s how we become love.
Thank you so much for reading along.
You’re the best.
You’re appreciated.
You’re loved, capable, and strong.
Yes, you are.
Loop it, affirm it.
I’m here with you.
Best,
Jasmin
