Dear Reader,
How has this summer been for you so far? For me, it feels like time is flying, even thought I spent the last few days sick with a summer cold (the worst!!). Just now, I’m feeling more like myself and excited to connect and share some favorites from the last few weeks.
Excited to send out my July books and looks next week with a special surprise!! Talk then.
All my best,
Natalia
Wearing, Loving, Eating, Watching (all the ings!)
This canvas bucket bag from Jenni Kayne is darling and fits a ton. Love the leather handles and the silver gem detail. Wore this out a few times in the last two weeks (and posted on stories), and got so many comments on this bag. A major compliment magnet!!
My sister moved to LA earlier this year and lives 25ish minutes away. She usually comes over biweekly to work from my house, but recently, I decided to drive out to her place once a week. Such a fun way to shake up my work week! Did my easy summer makeup routine in the car on my way to see her this morning.
Jenny Bird sent me these beautiful and delicate drop earrings a few weeks ago, and until this week, I’d only worn them out to dinner. But a sentiment that seems to be circulating in my conversations with friends (and others I’m reading online) is to not save your “nicest” pieces for “occasions,” and to just wear them every day. You don’t have to tell me twice to wear diamonds with denim!! My favorite combination.
My aunt Jacquie and I went out for a weeknight dinner and had the most delicious al fresco meal. One of my favorite things about going out to eat with her is that she always trusts me enough to order for the both of us. Hehe. I’m so lucky she lives so close (love you, JO!!).
I ordered a few pairs of red sandals to try, and these from Reformation were the winners. Great color, super comfortable, and I love that they are strappy but still feel easy and unfussy.
Wore the red sandals out right after they arrived. Really love the shade of red and how it looks with black and white.
Will look to OFELIA‘s post on styling red sandals for more outfit inspo.
Last favorite of the month is the Oak Essentials x Jenni Kayne Hand Wash. The scent is Cashmere Musk, described as having “notes of calming lavender and warm musk grounded by an earthy vetiver base.” It’s warm, enveloping, and absolutely delicious. I washed my hands once and couldn’t stop smelling them afterwards. A few hours later, I’d ordered the matching hand balm (and an extra bottle of the soap, haha).
To wrap things up, I have to recommend The Five-Star Weekend on Peacock, which kept my spirits up while I was fighting that nasty summer cold last week. What a fabulous show. I loved Jennifer Garner’s wardrobe (very Jenni Kayne and Frank & Eileen), and the interiors and soundtrack were just as good. If you haven’t watched it yet, please do.
Xx
