Commiting every cruelty and excess with ease,

And pinning the blame on others to appease,

Such people hold a rank quite perverse and grand.

These false, hypocritical souls of the land,

When life grants them more than their worth allows,

They no longer walk where the firm earth plows;

Instead, through the high, arrogant winds they fly.

Loving only themselves, with a gaze so high,

Unable to see anyone else as true,

Never feeling the weight of what others go through.

Pouring the venom that lives in their chest,

Into the souls of others, laying them to rest,

Deeming everyone small, beneath their feet,

Crushing them down as they pass on the street…

This is a game they know all too well.

No questions asked, and no answers to tell.

For people like this, there is only one cure:

Quietly walk away, keep your distance pure.

Leave the space where their shadow is cast,

And let their toxic presence become the past.

Never let your worth or your sacred place

Depend on the words of a hypocrite’s face.

Treat them simply as if they do not exist at all.

And always remember, lest you should fall:

You are not crazy, you see it all clear…

Who devalues you, and who holds you near.
