Overall, the whole mobile game market witnessed severe recession after a big holiday. Almost every big genre had a great decline in revenue growth. MOBA games reduced almost half of its revenue (-46%) leading the whole downtrend of revenue after holiday, followed by Auto Chess with a similar depletion (-43.9%). The overall market dropped 12.2% , making this one of the most depressive periods for Vietnam mobile gaming.
This situation might recover during April, when workers recover from post-holiday recession, and prepare for Vietnam Independence Day ahead (April 30th).
Though Time Spent did not change dramatically like revenue growth, revenue of the whole market reduced significantly, indicating that less profitable events were held after holiday.
Other genres showed slight growth in time spent despite the busy period after holiday, for example Turn-based RPG and MMORPG. These are genres that don’t require much time to develop skills in-game, which are great for busy adults.

Games with considerable growth in March are Idle RPG, Squad RPG and 4X Strategy. Within the time before students’ summer vacation, these genres will maintain their momentum for revenue growth.
