During May, most genres showed positive results, with Real-Time Strategy having the most impressive growth, having 58.7% jump in revenue. Other noteworthy unlisted genres include Turn-based RPG (+16.8% Revenue), Sandbox (+17.1% Revenue), Platformer/Runner (+13.9% Download).
Vehicular Shooter witnessed a significant jump of 95.4%, but this largely came from the domestic version’s release of the game War Robots Multiplayer Battles. We selected this as the most notable game of May 2026, leading to a growth of 95.4% for the genre’s revenue and 14.6% for average time spent, but other games with similar themes and gameplay might not guarantee such success.

During May, sessions’ time spent increased for most genres. Realistic Sports and Auto Chess had a slight expansion for the already-outstanding data. Summer period growth: Students’ favourite genres with active skills like Battle Royale or MOBA will witness positive time spent growth, with some additions to revenue. The market will be driven by motives from these genres. In addition, genres with a large proportion of youngsters like Sandbox and Realistic Sports will have longer sessions during summer.
Other idle genres like 4X Strategy, Squad RPG or Idle RPG will have stable performance throughout June. Tower Defense and Platformer/Runner games will also have remarkable performance.
