2026 Fantasy Baseball: Bullpen Report (8/22 - First half)

Over the first three weeks of August, Braydyn Garcia has a 4.26 ERA, 0.947 WHIP, and six strikeouts across 6.1 innings, with only one save opportunity (converted). Juan Morillo extended his shutout streak to 12.0 innings with eight hits, three walks, and 13 strikeouts, but he didn’t pitch in a closing situation.

Justin Martinez made his way back to the Diamondbacks’ bullpen over the past week, leading to two no-hit shutout innings with two walks and one strikeout. He tossed four shutout innings in the minors with no hits, one walk, and six strikeouts. Arizona shut push him to the ninth inning over the next week or so.

The left arm of Hogan Harris has backed up across his past eight appearances, resulting in seven runs, 11 hits, one home run, and seven walks over 8.0 innings with 10 strikeouts, four saves, and two blow saves. Over the past month, Elvis Alvarado posted a 1.38 ERA, 1.231 WHIP, and 14 strikeouts across 13.0 innings with four holds. Luis Medina hasn’t allowed a run in August over 6.2 innings with four hits, four walks, and eight strikeouts.

Raisel Iglesias has allowed a run or more in four of his past seven appearances, leading to six runs, 13 baserunners, and seven strikeouts with two saves and a blown save. Didier Fuentes has been closer-worthy across his past 12.0 innings (2.25 ERA, 0.75 WHIP, and 22 strikeouts). He picked up a save and four holds over this span, while also giving up the lead in two games.

Since early July, Nate Pearson has allowed a run and 14 baserunners across 14.2 innings with 12 strikeouts, two saves, and a blown save. Steven Cruz secured five saves across his past 14 appearances, leading to a 3.68 ERA, 1.091 WHIP, and 11 strikeouts over 14.2 innings.

With Samy Natera placed on the injured list, Ben Joyce has a clear run at saves for Los Angeles for the remainder of the year. He has yet to allow a run over 6.2 innings with five baserunners and nine strikeouts since his return to the majors. Joyce is 3-for-4 when asked to project the lead.

Luke Murphy moves next in line for saves in this bullpen. He picked up 16 saves this year at AA, with an elite ERA (0.76), WHIP (0.869), and strikeouts (45) over 35.2 innings. Other than six walks, his arm has been serviceable across his 8.2 innings (2.08 ERA and 1.154 WHIP).

Tanner Scott regained the Dodgers’ closing job after Edwin Diaz pitched his way to the injured list. He threw the ball well over his past 14.2 innings, resulting in a 1.23 ERA, 1.159 WHIP, and 16 strikeouts. Scott is 18-for-20 in closing situations.
