Hi friends-

We have been busy! I survived a long weekend of solo parenting while my husband was at his annual boys’ golf weekend, and today is his 40th birthday, so we’re heading straight into a week of celebrating him too! I’ve said it before, but we are in a serious 40th birthday rotation right now and honestly loving all of it. It feels a little like we’re back in our wedding era of celebrating all our friends, except now we’re celebrating 40 instead. It’s such a fun milestone, and I really think our 40s are going to be one of our fullest and best decades yet.

Also, it feels like everyone around me is already leaning into Fall and I am very much a long live summer kind of gal! While I am exhausted by the go-go-go of our schedules, it’s really only because we are having so much fun, and I hate how quickly it all feels like it’s flying by. I saw a quote this weekend that reminded me we still have 43 days of summer left, and it was such a good reminder to actually live in the moment instead of constantly looking ahead. I fully relate to that, although this job definitely forces me to plan very, very far ahead of myself.

Let's get into this week's brain dump:

Amazon set in red this weekend and it was adorable! I have really struggled with finding good fitting and decent quality sets on Amazon and I really liked it and ordered it in brown. The skirt has built in shorts, which is a must for me, and I also sized up to a large because the skirt runs a little small. She bought the red because it is our kid's school colors and I thought that is such a good idea/outfit for a game day look too!

-We have had a few cooler nights recently and I have found myself wearing pants for the first time in months. I broke these

pull on barrels back out and forgot how much I love them, I sized down to a size small (I am normally a M in bottoms) and I also got the tall length (I am 5/8") and they fit perfectly! A few of my best friends own them now too and we all are obsessed, they are 50% off right now too!

Stainless Steel Lunchbox - No surprise this stainless steel lunchbox is the top seller again from last week, it has been the number one seller since June as back to school approaches! We tested a handful of options and this was by far the best one that checked all of the boxes: lightweight, leakproof, good compartment layout, and most importantly, easy for kids to open and close independently. Some colors are still on sale!
Crep Protect - I just bought my two older kids new shoes for back to school and I always spray this on their sneakers before they wear them! It repels water, oil and stains and can be used on sneakers, leather, suede, nubuck, canvas and more!
CRZ Yoga Sports Bra - Finding a good sports bra is hard, but I can safely say this one is my favorite! It offers good support, is comfy to wear all day long, and has adjustable straps. Adding more to my cart asap because I can’t stop wearing it.
New Balance Bungee Lace Sneakers - My 2 year old’s feet are growing like weeds, these slip on new balance come in regular and wide size options in cute colors. For a slip on style I find them much easier to get on than some other brands.
Name Bubble Labels - I have used these custom name labels for all 3 of my kids, they work on anything from water bottles to nap mats to to shoes and come in a ton of different themes! Because they are custom, they take a bit to ship so order now if you are still needing something for back to school!

I am notorious for forgetting to take meat out to thaw until the last minute. I got this defrosting tray and even my husband is impressed. The conductive aluminum helps thaw meat like chicken SO much faster. I set it in the sink, put the meat on top and it literally cuts hours off thaw time. When you’re constantly trying to get dinner on the table, every minute counts!

Seriously Impressed

My daughter and I went back to school shopping yesterday and picked out some styles for her as she starts 4k! She was obsessed with this dress, and decided she wants to wear it for picture day and first day. She loves wearing dresses and we picked up a few other styles like this twofer style, this cute stripe one, and this ultra soft washed sweatshirt dress!
