MORE VITAMIN B12 SHENANIGANS:
Antibiotics, Cow Manure, and Texas Biomed’s Primate Lab

Once upon a time, there was a biochemist by the name of Karl August Folkers. It was he who was credited with “discovering and isolating” Vitamin B12 in a Merck drug lab in 1948.

Folkers was so crucial to the genesis and monumental deception of Vitamin B12 that I devoted an entire chapter to him in my book, “The Enigma of Vitamin B12.” This post will be revealing some heretofore-unannounced evil doings he was involved in that have recently come to my attention.

Karl Folkers was credited as author on the very first paper announcing B12’s notorious entrance into the annals of scientific discoveries.

Dated April 16, 1948, it was simply entitled “Crystalline Vitamin B12.”

The paper described how Folkers had succeeded in “fractionating a red crystalline compound” that was also boldly declared to be “the growth factor for all animals.”

It was also determined to be “the growth factor in cow manure.”

COW MANURE?!? Perhaps THIS is why FECES has become so closely associated with the convoluted Vitamin B12 story: Folkers got up close and personal with it in his lab to determine important scientific things!

In fact, cow manure was used in the very first formula of B12.

In the Patent no. US2563794A, classified as “C12P19/42, Cobalamins, i.e. vitamin B12, LLD factor” and filed on behalf of Merck on August 4, 1949, it states that the starting material was created from “bacteria obtained in a compost of soil and cow manure.” And what was referred to as the “meat extract” was actually comprised of raw cow’s liver and cow manure.

What a delicious and nutritious “health concoction,” and so ESSENTIAL for humans to take daily!

Here’s just a few examples of associations with feces that our wondrous Vitamin B12 is said to have:

1) We’re told that “Feces contains large amounts of B12, produced by bacteria in the colon.” In fact, there’s even a patented process to utilize the feces contained in SEWAGE SLUDGE to extract this alleged “B12.”

2) It has been claimed that “Our primate cousins get all the B12 they need from eating their own feces.”
Meanwhile, most humans fearful of a “B12 Deficiency” prefer to take it in supplement form.

3) It’s said that many animal products “contain high amounts of Vitamin B12” because “farmed animals accumulate it from being exposed to manure in their living conditions.”

4) It was explained that the reason more vegans in India aren’t dying from “B12 Deficiency” is because they’re getting their B12 from the INSECT EXCREMENT found in grains and legumes.

Folkers also announced in his “Crystalline Vitamin B12” paper how this newly-discovered-but-essential-vitamin was a cure for something referred to as “pernicious anemia.”

But just what WAS this condition known as “pernicious anemia”? And why was it deemed so prevalent and dangerous that it warranted an essential vitamin being “discovered” to treat it?

Well, first, let’s look at the definition of the word “pernicious.” It simply means “highly damaging or destructive,” and “having a harmful effect.”

Therefore, you could certainly say that this so-called “pernicious anemia” was really just a fancy term for anemia in its later stages.

You might not be surprised to learn that testing toxic, experimental drugs on human patients with end-stage and terminal conditions has always been a popular procedure in allopathic medicine.

Why? Because if the drug fails to work (as it inevitably will), and the patient doesn’t survive, it can easily be explained away: They were so close to death’s door that they were slated to die anyway. Even if the drug actually HASTENED their death (as it invariably did), it would certainly not be so noted in any lab or medical records.

One thing about pernicious anemia nowadays, you will NEVER see it defined without the mention of Vitamin B12. They have become indelibly linked.

The condition is described as “a type of anemia that impairs the body’s ability to absorb vitamin B12,” or “a decrease in red blood cells that occurs when the intestines cannot properly absorb vitamin B12,” or “a rare autoimmune condition where your body can’t make enough healthy red blood cells because it lacks vitamin B12.”

So apparently, it’s not even the anemia that gets you, but the lack of B12!

The internal process as described goes something like this:
If the immune system doesn’t detect some special protein referred to as “the intrinsic factor,” this absence will cause it to go haywire and start attacking itself, beginning with the cells of the stomach. This will then prevent the absorption and production of Vitamin B12.

But what is this crucial “intrinsic factor”? It is defined by the MedlinePlus Medical Encyclopedia as: “a protein that helps your intestines absorb vitamin B12. It is made by cells in the stomach lining.”

Once again, here is a term that ONLY seems to exist expressly for the purpose of “facilitating absorption” of Vitamin B12! It’s extremely odd that this “intrinsic factor protein” only performs this one specific function.

We are warned that being without this ability to absorb Vitamin B12 will then “lead to a deficiency that can cause serious health issues.” (In fact, there’s now over 100 official B12 Deficiency Symptoms we need to be on the lookout for!)

DAMN that Intrinsic Factor for sneakily absconding without a word of warning! And unless you start gobbling high-dosage B12 supplements by the handful, you will be crap out of luck and should start planning your own funeral!

However, there are some researchers and doctors who actually question the very existence of this mysterious “intrinsic factor.”

Dr. J.G. Heathcote and Dr. F.E. Mooney of St. Helena’s Hospital, London, stated that: “In spite of an enormous amount of work, there is very little agreement among researchers even on limited properties of the supposed intrinsic factor. It has never been isolated or identified. We believe, therefore, that intrinsic factor, as currently understood, has no real existence, per se.”

You heard that right: NO REAL EXISTENCE!

And if this intrinsic factor never existed, what does that say about Vitamin B12?!?

Now, prior to Folkers’ historic paper announcing the “existence” of B12, he and his team at Merck had labored for SIX LONG YEARS attempting to find a cure for this “pernicious anemia” (it being such a dire threat to the public’s health and all).

HOWEVER, the entire time Folkers’ search for a cure was being conducted at Merck, NOT ONE SINGLE PAPER WAS PUBLISHED on any of this earth-shattering work.

In fact, it was stated in Folkers’ bio that: “No publications on this subject emanated from the Merck laboratories in the six-year interval between the origination of their work and the crystallization of vitamin B-12 in 1948.”

How odd! All of this crucial work going on for so long about such an “essential” vitamin, yet not one word about it written in the scientific journals or revealed to the public?

HOWEVER, and even odder still, Folkers DID manage to publish 22 papers during this period from 1942 to 1948. Every one of these were in reference to the various antibiotic drugs that Merck would soon be putting out on the market.

So now inquiring minds want to know: What did antibiotics have to do with this VITAMIN B12?!?

Well, as it turns out, the first formula of B12 was nearly IDENTICAL to that of an antibiotic created in Merck’s drug lab at the same time: STREPTOMYCIN.

Both B12 and this antibiotic drug contained the lab-created bacteria of Streptomyces grisesus, along with “meat extract and corn steep liquor,” which was then “treated with activated charcoal.”

But how clever it was to label one as a “vitamin” and the other as a “drug” – covering all sorts of financial ground and markets!

This Streptomyces bacteria was noted as “a good source of vitamin B-12.” It was also deemed “identical” to the crystals obtained from raw cow’s liver – which was the “meat extract” used in both formulas, along with the cow manure.

So why was not one single paper published on B12, while Folkers filed paper after paper announcing new antibiotics?

Because the Vitamin B12 project and the Streptomycin antibiotic were essentially ONE AND THE SAME!

In fact, the discovery, crystallization, and naming of Vitamin B12 was announced the exact same year that the patent for Streptomycin was granted in 1948.

So what do we have here? Is it an antibiotic drug that is actually a “vitamin”? Or is it a “vitamin” that is actually an antibiotic drug?!?

And is it any coincidence that so many of the side effects of antibiotics are identical to so-called B12 deficiency symptoms?!?

Now, prior to his time spent digging through beakers and plates of cow dung, Mr. Folkers had fiddled around with various poisons.

After being hired by Merck in 1934, one of his earliest projects was working with curare. Nicknamed “Devil Doer,” this was an alkaloid arrow poison that indigenous peoples in Central and South America placed on the tips of blow darts to immobilize animals they wished to kill.

The ultimate goal for Folkers was, of course, to expand the use of these drugs into humans, and for Merck to rack up substantial profits from new drug patents.

But one reason he found this poison so intriguing was that it served a specific purpose in Merck’s animal research labs. It was deemed an extremely effective means of restraining and incapacitating animals during procedures.

As Folkers performed various experiments upon dogs, cats, guinea pigs, rats, mice, and rabbits, it made his work a whole lot easier when the animals were forced to lie there fully awake but motionless, unable to even cry out. With nothing given to block the pain, they had no choice but to silently endure their torturous ordeals inflicted upon them by Folkers.

You see, Karl August Folkers was what could be considered a “very ambitious career vivisectionist.” His team at Merck & Co. relied heavily upon animal models to study and isolate Vitamin B12.

The most prominent animal used during this time was the dog. This was due in large part to vivisectionist George Whipple’s earlier work with dogs, whom he’d bled out to simulate conditions of anemia, then fed raw liver to, allegedly as a “cure.” (These experiments also inspired B12’s close association with liver.)

All of this hands-on practice with animal experiments would come in very handily for Folkers after he left Merck in 1968.

It was at this time that Karl August Folkers became the Director of the Austin branch of the Texas Biomedical Research Institute. In fact, it was he who started the vivisection program there in the 1960s. He remained there until his death in 1997.

It wasn’t much later that this same institute came under fire for misconduct and falsifying studies.

It occurred under the supervision of Deepak Kaushal, who was the Professor and Director of the Southwest National Primate Research Center (SNPRC) at the San Antonio branch of Texas Biomed.

In 2022, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services’ Office of Research Integrity found that Deepak Kaushal falsified data 10 times in a 2020 TB study involving non-human primates. The study was later retracted.

I have no doubt that this was nowhere near the first time that data was falsified at this institute; just the first time it was caught and brought to attention.

One of the reasons animal experiments are so popular is because they are notorious for having no oversight. They are also very effective at fast-tracking toxic drugs onto the market. It’s an added bonus that none of the lab animals involved are protected under any kind of “welfare” laws.

So you really have to wonder:
Since Karl August Folkers was the DIRECTOR of this same institute that was so blatantly caught lying about its animal research, isn’t it also highly likely that he was involved in FALSIFYING RESEARCH DATA about VITAMIN B12?

One thing you can be sure about:
When a story keeps changing, as it does with the “Official Vitamin B12 Narrative,” it’s indicative of a whole lot of lies being told….particularly those having to do with WHETHER OR NOT B12 ACTUALLY EVER EXISTED OUTSIDE OF A DRUG LAB.
