Dr Sara Pugh · Dr Sara Pugh's Quantum Health Substack

Hello and welcome to my Substack

When did the sea become something to fear?

After days of seeing headline after headline warning about the dangers of cold water swimming and “wild swimming,” I felt compelled to write a post on Water as part of my 5 Elements series.

Yes, water deserves respect, and there are genuine risks that people should understand. But humans have been swimming, bathing, fishing and connecting with natural bodies of water for thousands of years. Spending time in the sea or a lake isn’t a new health trend—it’s part of what we’ve always done.

The constant stream of alarming headlines can leave people feeling that nature itself is dangerous.

There are coastgurds here today at ‘My Beach’ in Wales to investigate the Unexploded ordnance (UXO) AKA a WW2 bomb report from St Donuts Coastwatch telescope. Here is the ‘highly explosive log’ - this was very exciting and a change from my usual ‘Melanin & Vitamin D Making’ on the beach.

It is much better by the way to be naked in the sun and to get you PTA or PBA in the sun… ‘Pits tits and ass***le’ work our the man version… as there are biochemical pathways that are activated when you sun your private parts.

  • The difference between living water and processed water. What about sparkling water?

  • How coherence, vortices and structure affect hydration, memory and function

  • How natural water environments may regulate the nervous system and support healing and how to train your vestibular system and cranial nerve 8 at the beach.

  • Why trauma, fear and the TCM 5 Elements belong in the water conversation

  • Is it true that our senses degrade after the age of 40?

  • Why Uruguay is now on my Quantum list and the ‘Instagram guest from Uraguay’ who came to visit us in Wales.

  • About one of the best people I know for removing etheric and emotional blockages a is also an engineering professor who specialised in waste, water and toilets in the material world. “As above so below’“

I was at the seaside earlier today and, for Wales at least, the sea was almost warm. I personally aim to swim when the water is around 11–15°C (52–59°F) for 15 -75min (depends on how much time I have or water temp), as that’s where I find I get the greatest benefits from cold exposure. That works for me. For you, it may be something completely different—from dunking your face in cold water for 10s to an ice bath at 2°C (36°F) for 40 min.

I’ve made lots of content over the pasts years on the science of cold thermogenesis and its potential benefits, including:

  • Metabolic health and insulin sensitivity

  • Diabetes and blood sugar regulation

  • Hormonal health and leptin resistance

  • Mental wellbeing, mood and resilience

  • Inflammation and recovery

  • Brown fat activation and thermogenesis

  • Mitochondrial function and energy production

  • Cryotherapy in recognised cancer treatments

For those wanting a deeper understanding, I interviewd Dr Tom Seager for an in-depth discussion, Cold Myths & Truths, find the video on my YouTube channel and podcast.

These latest warnings have appeared during the current European heatwave. I'm in Wales at the moment (my mum broke her leg while in Italy, and my house was broken into while I was in China..both fixed now). Temperatures reached 36°C (97°F) in Cardiff and 32°C (90°F) in the Vale of Glamorgan.

Ironically, millions of Britons spend ££££ thousands of pounds every year travelling to countries that are far hotter than this for their holidays, yet a four-day spell of warm weather in the UK is treated as a national crisis.

We swam in the sea here as children and my dad swam in the sea as a boy, as did his parents, and suddenly this is ‘dangerous’?

Travel Tip - The Luggage Label Scam: Please do things like photo your suitcase and its contents in the airport and keep your baggage tag or put a bag tracker in your luggage. Its to do with a clever baggage label crime where bags are switched to get drugs through. If your luggage tags get swichted then you can get the blame for the drug smuggling. I am giving practical advice not fear mongering…

“Who can wait quietly while muddy water clears? Who can remain still until right action arises?” - Tao Te Ching

Meaning? Water naturally becomes clear when left undisturbed. Likewise, the mind becomes clear through stillness rather than force.

FYI I stay out of politics and religion. New age spirituality is also, to me, like religion. I prefer the science of spirituality as it is much easier to ‘do it’ and or use it in conjunction with the actual science of how water, light, magnetism, plasma and physics work. Find your own Gnosis that works for you.

I am currently re-reading and re-listening to the Tao Te Ching again by ancient Chinese philosopher Laozi (also spelled Lao Tzu). It dates back to the 4th century BCE and falls within the Zhou Dynasty, but with history, who knows as we lost so much of it. It has whole new meaning again after my visit to China, as does The Art of War by Sun Tzu.

The Tao Te Ching teaches that the Tao or ‘The way’ is not something to be understood only through reading or lectures, but through direct experience. This is the essence of the "teaching without words" which relates to lots of skills and things in life—learning by observing nature, practicing the principles, and experiencing them for yourself.

There is a deep river of truth and many common denominators that run through these texts and writings, whether it’s the Bible, Quran, ‘The Gita’, Kabbalah, Meister Eckhart, St John of the Cross and ancient Chinese writings.

This ancient text in Dan Lu mountain (Alchemy Mountain) only appears when water is poured on. I have the text and translation and in time will work out what it means.

I have found that these are like living texts that have different meanings depending on what is happening in my daily life or where I am in my Dao. I am not attached to any one of them. I just like ancient or unusual texts, especially if they are written in a code or in symbols like alchemy.

As with suppressed science that I like to talk about, be it plasma, light or water, I find it dangerous and disturbing that there is over 100 years of hidden scientific research on some of this and it is vital for our health, yet much of it gets overlooked. In the same way, plenty of ancient wisdom or science was written in a code to preserve it.

Of course I am interested in the so called ‘superpowers’ or longevity we read about from the Ancients - myth or truth?

I don’t know. That is one of my personal discovery missions.

Water for certain, has some superpowers.

Living water or coherent water is never stagnant or trapped in unnatural materials. It moves, spirals, tumbles over rocks, flows through rivers, and circulates through us and living organisms.

Vernet Les Bains - France

Water as memory storage - one water molecule can hold up to 440,000 bits of information, so it is not only ‘our water battery’, it also has the potential to store memory. Take this as you wish as some people are not yet familiar with Veda Austin or Emoto’s work.

I have been interested in the mind for a long time and did train in hypnosis and then in psychomancy. Consciousness exists outside the skull and with significant advances in plasma and aether physics, it is becoming easier to describe where memories and traumas that are not in our heads my reside. Our aura is a cloud of cold plasma, but as we are mostly water, then I am sure certain memories and traumas reside in our water too.

In contrast, modern treated water is often stripped of the environmental signals and natural movements that shaped it in the wild. Before reaching our tap, water is typically forced through long, straight pipes, exposed to chemical treatment ranging from aluminium as an anti-fungicide or fluoride, pressure changes, and storage systems that bear little resemblance to living or source water.

There are numerous structuring devices that I get asked about and some of them I have not heard of or had time to look up. Making structured water is simply returning it to how it would be found in nature.

How I structure my water depends on where I am or if I am doing an experiment. I cannot always take my vortexer or distiller away with me as I like those a lot. If you want to learn about minerals and mineralisation in more depth check out my course 👉https://courses.busysuperhuman.com/minerals

One of my water making ceremonies.. with phirecrystal and vogel crystal.

I am not attached to a particular way of structuring (lots of rights) as sometimes I have to improvise as its about understanding the principle and science. I do not take my annalema wand as they are easy to break and if you do put it in your suitcase. I do what I can with my water depending on the location. This was the same with artificial light issues in China. I had to ‘put up with it and igonre it’.

Wales: Distilled water, remineralised, then put outside. I gave my parents my Hydrofix so if I want to make hydrogen water, then I distill, hydrogenate, then add minerals.

France: There is a spring in Vernet-les-Bains as well as source water, so I just collect it.

China and Hong Kong: Water was available in glass bottles which I could put outside and put affirmations into it or use my vogel crystal. Danlu mountain, it was a bit like France as it was in the mountains. We drank tea there most of the time but plastic-bottled water was available. I will need to gently educate them on water containers.

1000s of years ago the Chinese found that boiling water to make tea drastically reduced water born illness, so that’s the history of China and tea. Nowadays there are 100s of teas in China that are used medicinally based on the merians and 5 elements.

WigWig is so far by far my/our favourite UK water and my parents like to buy it. It is from Shropshire in the UK and you can get a sparkling one too.

Sparkling water is not bad for you, and if you have been following Dr Kruse’s latest work on magnetism, oxygen (singlet/triplet), deuterium and the brain, he goes over an additional reason sparkling is good, and good for the brain. I honour that he does not want influencers to butcher or chop suey his new work so you can read his blogs and have fun trying to decode them.

I will do my own post on practical magnetism and what magnetism is for my mother post. I will be teaching magnetism in France and how to find ley lines, cross-overs and places of power with dowsing.

The big Canigou leyline in the Pyrenees runs very close to the Venus, and Olle Kitson will give in-depth help on nnEMF mitigation theory and practice as nnEMFs cause a loss of the 4th phase/coherent or EZ water in the body, along with many other disruptions to the coherent running of biology.

I teach a lot of this in a practical, embodied way on my retreats in France - water, magnetism, ley lines, nnEMFs, place, sunlight and how to work with them rather than just think about them or post about them.

Inside the body we know that 4th phase, EZ water lines all membranes and that all molecules in the body are hydrated, so all biochemistry happens through the medium of water and how it arranges itself in the body and around each molecule.

I have many posts on water and have explained 4th phase water before, but I still go back to Dr Pollack’s book and there are numerous good Substacks or lectures online by those like Dr Glen Rein and Prof Konstantine Korotkov who also work with water and have a deep understanding of it beyond my own.

I wrote a previous Substack on how the structural arrangement around minerals and metals alters how our bodies use or remove them, so that was in relation to magnesium and heavy metals in particular as examples.

If your water is not coherent and ordered in your body then you are more likely to hold on to heavy metals and less likely to hold on to your magnesium.

Indoor living and lack of sunlight, grounding and access to the Schumann Resonance leads to dyscoherence in the body.

If you have watched a school of fish in the ocean you can understand what coherence is. The fish can move independently, yet the entire group responds simultaneously without collisions as if following an invisible conductor - but there is no conductor.

In physics, this is called quantum coherence - unity and cooperation at the smallest level enabling individual components to respond as a larger unit.

Water exhibits similar coherence when free to fall, spin and spiral - dancing the dance of life. But when surrounded by toxins or nnEMFs and stripped of natural movement and sunlight, water loses its ability to communicate and function as it should in the body.

Being emotionally dysregulated or under stress creates a lack of coherence, and this causes magnesium loss, which leads to more stress. Just taking more magnesium is not the solution. That is like pouring water into a bucket that has a hole in it.

This is where emotions, vortices, toroidal fields and coherence comes in. This is a very deep subject as it can get into wave mechanics and complex phononics in the body, or it can go completely the other way into TCM, emotions and trauma, and further again into Veda Austin’s work on water and consciousness.

As we see from the image above the water element in TCM is associated with the kidney, adrenal glands, bladder and fear, so there is the link between our true hydration, meaning coherent water in the body, and being in a fear mindset.

Anxiety is a fear of something in the future that has not happened yet.

In the health space, especially women, there is the “I am afraid I am doing it wrong”, “I must be perfect”, “what will people think?”, “what if somebody does not like me?”, “I do not know enough and will get found out” and so on. Then this can lead to orthorexia and people make themselves ill trying to do the quantum perfectly, the perfect diet, the perfect water, the perfect place to live and so on.

More later on in this post about mental blockages, , emotions and trauma.

Austrian naturalist Viktor Schauberger, who spent decades observing rivers and forests, believed that these inward-moving vortex dynamics sustain life itself. He argued that healthy water is characterised by four key properties: its shape, its motion, its temperature and the materials it interacts with.

The torus is described as a multi-dimensional geometric figure demonstrating universal laws of energy dynamics based on centripetal and centrifugal spiralling forces. This vortex also relates to our consciousness, and according to Dan Winter the plasma vortex that leaves your brain is how action at a distance, telepathy and remote viewing work.

Thus a vortex is created by the interaction of two opposing forces a Yin Yang. Centripetal force (implosion) draws matter or charge (aether) inward toward the centre, while centrifugal force (explosion) moves it outward. Rather than existing independently, these complementary forces work together to create stable, self-organising flow. This centripetal force is negentropic, the opposite of entropy or chaos, and is the driving force of life, healing, consciousness as well as ‘what holds the universe together’ and the physics behind gravity.

Vortices make a voltage, a potential difference, energy gradient, or, in simple terms, energy.

Mabey one day I will buy this Beast of a vortexer…. the best one ive found yet.. but its $$

  • Earth: a toroidal field generator

  • Human heart: not a pump but a double vortex; heart tissue forms a spiral that makes blood spiral through veins; the human torus extends from the perineum to the crown of the head

  • The sun: a torus

  • Atoms: surrounded by toroidal fields

  • Sound: when we speak, we create a torus emanating from our mouths

  • Spiralling patterns in plants

  • Blood flowing through arteries

  • The twisting muscle fibres of the heart

  • Atmospheric movement around falling rain droplets

  • Rotating air currents shaping weather

  • Rivers and streams

  • Ocean vortexes (rare but documented)

  • Massive ocean gyres - colossal vortexes that influence weather patterns

  • The tunnel of a breaking wave (described as the zero point field of the ocean)

  • Raindrops spiralling as they fall, interacting with atmospheric ions and electromagnetic energies

  • Helical structure of DNA

  • Many crop circles displaying vortex geometry

  • Ocean whirlpools and gyres

  • Tornadoes and hurricanes

  • Spiral galaxies

  • Shells, vines and plant growth

The list above now brings me back to beaches ….

Wales: Beaches are usually pretty empty - less people with phones and noise, being naked is possible, the water is cold, around 14-16 C in summer. The UVI can be 8-9 in summer. Lots of rocks on some beaches, but the round rocks are great for doing mobility and functional movements.

Hong Kong: Great walks over the mountains to the beach to get very sweaty, it is close to the equator so the sea is not cold, can be busy on sunny days. Easy to get very burned with UVI of 12+. Can be topless if it’s early and nobody is about.

France/Vernet-les-Bains: No beach, but plenty of rivers (naked French men provided free), and the Mediterranean coast is about 60 minutes by car. Nice beaches for making melanin. Wales is still far better for cold thermogenesis, and this coast is about the 40th latitude.

I wrote in my Menorca post in 2025 about free diving as a way to get ‘free hyperbaric oxygen therapy’ and nervous system training, especially the vestibular system, the inner ear. All our senses need training as well as melanin. This was by doing front, back and side somersaults in the water as adults do not generally do gymnastics so do not stimulate the balance system like kids.

The more melanin you make for your senses the faster they will respond to training. It is said that after the age of 40 senses degrade if you do not train them, and we also know that as we get older we need more sun.

The vestibular nerve is cranial nerve 8 and it enters the brainstem at the pontomedullary junction, which is the border between the pons and medulla.

The vestibular system does a lot more than balance. It plays a huge role in spinal stability, so in 2012 I discovered ‘the core’ as in just stomach muscles and glutes was not correct, as a huge number of back, neck and knee pains and problems are from a faulty vestibular system, not ‘your core’.

The vestibular system is also vital for your orientation, so travel sickness is a mismatch between the information from the eyes and the inner ear. There is a link to the gut from the inner ear as we all know about people puking after being on spinning or fast fairground rides.

The vestibular system and inner ear also play a role in emotional balance, so that is a source of issues that many people do not ever consider and then they try many, many therapies instead of functional neurology.

If this way of understanding water, sunlight, learning functional neurological exercises, magnetism, place and nervous system regulation resonates with you, this is exactly the kind of practical work we go deeper into on my retreat in France Sept 5th - Sept 12th

There are many useful therapies, but the more unusual ones like psychomancy are what caused me to get back into working 1:1 with people’s blockages, tramas or limiting beliefs.

I did hypnosis for a long time which is interesting, but I found psychomancy better as it is mostly content free and technically. I do not do it with my own ‘energy’ or my frontal lobes, as it is an etheric or source based method, so I do not get drained or involved in the person’s issues.

We all have issues or diseases or blockages that get in the way of our purpose, mission, business, family, finances and relationships.

Dr Ralf Otterpohl’ trained me last year and again in April psychomancy and geomancy I did his courses. I have been busy practising as Ralf is overloaded with 1:1s at the moment.

If you know what psychomancy is and would like a session, I am taking bookings for online sessions or I can do them in person with you at my retreats in France.

My guest who visited me in Wales from Uruguay - Dr Carolina Crispino - (Find her on Instagram https://www.instagram.com/dracarolinacrispino/) did a Psychomany session with me

‘Having a psychomancy session with Sara was nothing but heart-opening. Although I consider myself a spiritual person, there are times in life when you don’t easily see your path.

We went to the beach, and after swimming, Sara offered to teach me how to use my pendulum. She then offered to do a psychomancy session. I accepted, and opened my heart — or I should say my soul — to whatever would come.’

I have never met Dr Carolina until last Monday and my mum, my dad and I miss her as she came at very awkward time and she was a godsend. As people in person matter and also it shows how non-family helpers or carers or visitors are so important. We had a crash course on Uruguay as it ticks lots of boxes for me as I find right now the tropics is too much for me, Hong Kong confirmed that.

Dr Ralf understands how it is to help elderly parents as his dad is in hos 90s. Dr Ralf is running another Psychomancy and Geomancy course in September in France. If you want to learn how to do it from the 15th-26th. Ralf and I are colleagues, as you know so we like to work together and share our followers as part of our ‘missions’.

Reach Dr Ralf by email: ro@gartenring.org or contact me.

Ralf also embraced my quantum biology lessons so he also does the light and the magnetism with me. He likes water biology and physics and he shares his knowledge on water with me.

Nobody heals anybody, if you give your body the space and context, it will heal itself.

For some, in fact for all people, just go outside into the Sun or the 5 Elements and let that heal you. Take a person or more who you resonate with too as that really helps

If you have got this far in the Substack … As my parents and I enjoyed Dr Carolina’s visit so much, if there are other like minded people who would like to visit the ‘Welsh Quantum Madhouse’, let me know

This would be members of my group, nice people who have come to Q&As for the Quantum Biology Collective Certification, people who I have met at conferences, at retreats, podcasts hosts/guests, long time ‘online’ friends from anywhere visiting the UK… so basically people I have seen on zoom or in person.
