Stop States From Punishing Families for Medical and Religious Choices

Apparently, in 2026, saying both of those things in the same paragraph is considered controversial.

But I do not think they are contradictory at all.

Informed consent only means something if consent can actually be withheld. Religious freedom only means something if it is protected when exercising it becomes inconvenient. And medical choice should not suddenly disappear because you crossed a state line.

Yet right now, families can face dramatically different rules depending on where they live. In one state, a family may have access to a religious or medical exemption. In another, that same decision can affect school attendance, employment, or participation in parts of public life.

Your ZIP code should not determine whether your conscience is respected.

I want families to have access to accurate information, honest conversations about benefits and risks, and physicians who can help them make thoughtful decisions. Then I believe those families should retain meaningful choice.

An executive order alone is not going to restore medical and religious freedom across the country. But enough people standing together just might move the conversation.

If you believe medical freedom, religious freedom, and informed consent should be protected regardless of where an American happens to live, please sign the petition and share it with someone who feels the same way.

The more signatures we collect, the harder it becomes for lawmakers to pretend families do not care about this issue.
