Well, we knew this was coming.

Now that the Senate is on recess, Tommy Tuberville is getting serious about fundraising.

His team is looking at the same numbers we are. They saw that we raised more than double what Tuberville raised in July. And they’ve decided it’s time to hit the gas.

Tuberville’s campaign chairman just confirmed it:

“We’ll begin our general election fundraising push during this August recess.”

We’ve been blowing Tuberville out of the water when it comes to fundraising over the past three months. But he still has more money in the bank, and now he’s making a huge push to build on his lead.

We don’t need to match him dollar-for-dollar to win. Even though Republicans spent more than $30 million on their primary, their turnout fell by 25%, while turnout in our primary doubled. We’re running this campaign the right way: meeting Alabamians where they are, at town halls, on canvasses, and in conversations around the dinner table.

But Tuberville still has a four-to-one fundraising advantage, and he’s about to spend $8 million on TV ads spreading hate and division. We can’t let him drown out our message.

So I’m asking you directly: Please make a contribution to my campaign today. Help us answer Tuberville’s fundraising push and prove once again that this campaign has what it takes to win.
