Folks,
Thanks to you, thanks to everyone who has volunteered and contributed to our campaign, our race has been getting more and more national attention.
I’ve been getting more and more calls from journalists across the country who are hearing about the unprecedented grassroots movement we’ve built here in Alabama. So yesterday, I was glad to join Morning Joe on MSNOW to talk about my campaign for Governor.
We talked about how Tommy Tuberville wants to sell out our state to mega-rich data center companies, my proposal to put a moratorium on new data centers until we have real transparency and protections in place, and our path to victory come November. Tuberville is losing support every day by pushing these data centers regardless of how people feel about them, and it’s putting us in a great position to win. As I said in our interview,
Conservative states like Alabama in the South have got this libertarian streak. We don’t want people intruding in our lives. Whether it’s Flock cameras, whether it’s AI data centers, folks don’t like people coming in and doing things in secret.
We also talked about how Democrats have won governor’s races in red states like Kansas and Kentucky before, and how everything we’re seeing on the ground is showing we’re going to do the same thing here in Alabama come November.
Please take a moment to watch my interview and let me know what you think. And stay tuned—there’s a lot more to come.
The more we get the word out, the more national attention we bring to this race, the more people, support, and resources we can bring into this campaign, the better chance we have to stand up to Tommy Tuberville’s $8 million war chest and win back Montgomery in November.
Thank you,
Doug
