Some stories are written to survive. Others are written to finally let go.

We’re honored to announce Palabras del Alma: Micro-Issue Vol. 1, a bilingual collection of poems, essays, and short stories by Dominican writers across generations and the diaspora.

Curated by Dominican Writers Association, this inaugural micro-issue explores memory, tenderness, grief, belonging, and emotional release through voices shaped by two languages, migration, ancestry, and care.

Palabras del Alma was born from the quiet corners of our hearts where memories, loss, healing, and love wait to be spoken.

Through the themes of Amparo, Respaldo, Consuelo, and Desahogo, this collection offers shelter, affirmation, solace, and release. Each contributor carries the pulse of our collective longing — for home, for truth, for connection, and for the courage to speak honestly across generations.
