I can’t believe it’s already July! If you’ve been following along with the Apartment Therapy editorial schedule, that means it’s almost time for our New/Next List for 2026. This franchise has quickly become one of my most favorite to produce — and to share with our audience. That’s because it’s all about trends, and whether you personally chase ‘em or not, trends are exciting to track.
This year, though, marks the first time we’re on the hunt for designers to feature as part of the package. We’re looking to spotlight both emerging talents and established creatives, each with a distinctive point of view, inspiring projects, and fresh ideas about how people live and decorate today. And we’re accepting nominations until the end of the calendar day next Monday, July 6!

The blooms are so gorgeous, and the bandages truly feel like wearable art that just might make you smile (even though minor cuts and bruises are still never fun). It’s a solution that may be staring you in the face.
You don’t always need a full “room” for a design moment like a home office or playroom. And you don’t have to worry about where that space is located either. I was so inspired by my friend (and long-time Apartment Therapy writer) Heather Bien and her latest makeover, where she took an awkward nook in her dining room and turned it into a playroom for her baby. All of her tips make the space super functional, and it still jibes with the rest of her dining area, too.
