Lessons on bed-layering from designer Brooke Jacobs 📝

I love a bedding makeover when the season shifts. There’s just something about trading duvets for quilts — and heavier sheets for crisp, cool cotton or linen this time of year. So I was thrilled to spend an afternoon with the team at The Company Store last week, getting schooled in bed layering with one of the brand’s favorite bedding stylists, Brooke Jacobs.

Jacobs and the team had a fairly neutral bed as a base, which you can see here. And then with the help of switching out pillows, throw blankets, and just a few key accessories, I watched them transform the setup in seconds — several times over! I also got to peek into the design workroom. What’s coming for fall and beyond is gorgeous, and it’s so clear the brand’s designers are truly thoughtful about balancing trends and their committee to quality staples that’ll last for years.
