Hi friends!
This past month brought opportunities to continue some of the conversations I care about most, both on stage and across several podcasts.
Many of them centered on the same idea: understanding the gut gives us a much broader perspective on what women experience during perimenopause and menopause.
Here are a few highlights:
This was one of the conversations I enjoyed most this month. Tamsen Fadal and I talked about some of the changes that can leave women feeling frustrated in midlife, especially bloating, belly fat, and foods that suddenly don’t seem to agree with them anymore.
We also answered many of the questions I hear most often about protein, fiber, supplements, gut testing, and GLP-1 medications.

I joined Dr. Sameena Rahman on GynoGirl TV to talk about why digestive changes often become more noticeable during perimenopause and menopause.
We covered hormones, the microbiome, bloating, protein, the gut-brain connection, and where I encourage women to start before reaching for more complicated solutions.
If you’ve been struggling with bloating or changes in digestion, I think you’ll find this conversation helpful.
One question shaped my conversation with Margaret Floyd Barry on The Clinician’s Corner: Are we missing an important piece of the menopause puzzle by focusing only on hormones?
We talked about the connection between the gut, the immune system, stress, and hormones and why taking a broader view can change how we support women through midlife.
These were the five Everyday Wellness episodes that resonated most with listeners last month, featuring some wonderful guests I truly enjoyed speaking with.
If you haven’t had a chance to listen yet, I hope you enjoy catching up on your next walk or drive.

Speaking at Mindvalley U had been on my vision board for several years, so having the opportunity to be there was especially meaningful.
Much of my work this year has centered on The Menopause Gut, and this conversation focused on why the gut has become such an important part of how we understand women’s health during perimenopause and menopause.
I’m grateful for the opportunity to keep having these conversations with audiences around the world.
On July 15, I hosted a free live AMA centered on The Menopause Gut and the questions readers continue to have about digestion, hormones, symptoms, and applying this work in daily life.
I appreciated the opportunity to spend time together in real time and hear what women are still trying to understand. Those questions continue to shape the education and resources I create.
