Most businesses do not begin with infrastructure.

They begin with an idea.

A founder sees an opportunity, creates an offer, finds their first customers, and begins piecing together the business in real time. Pricing is set based on instinct. Processes live in the founder’s head. Financial decisions are made according to what feels most urgent that week. The business moves forward because the founder is resourceful enough to keep it moving.

For a while, that can work.

Until the business begins asking more of the founder than improvisation can support.

The decisions become more consequential. Revenue may be coming in, but the founder cannot always see where it is going. Opportunities begin arriving, but there is no consistent framework for deciding which ones deserve attention. The business is active, yet its offers, systems, priorities, and financial structure may still feel disconnected.

At that point, the problem is rarely a lack of ambition.

It is a lack of infrastructure.

That is why I created Foundation Advisory.

Applications are now open for founders and entrepreneurs who are ready to build the business behind their ambition—and who want an experienced strategic partner helping them determine what needs to be built, in what order, and why.

APPLY FOR FOUNDATION ADVISORY

Foundation Advisory is an ongoing strategic partnership for founders establishing—or deliberately rebuilding—the core infrastructure of their organizations.

This is not a course, a one-time consultation, or a collection of generalized business advice.

It is a structured advisory relationship centered on the actual decisions your business is facing.

Over the course of the engagement, we examine the systems supporting your organization: its business model, revenue strategy, pricing, operations, decision-making practices, financial visibility, and readiness for future growth.

The objective is not to make the business look more established from the outside.

It is to make the business more structurally sound from within.

Because growth does not correct a weak foundation. More customers, more visibility, and more revenue often place additional pressure on whatever has—or has not—already been built.

Foundation Advisory gives founders the space and strategic support to strengthen that foundation before complexity begins making decisions for them.

Foundation Advisory was created for:

  • Early-stage founders establishing the structure behind a newly launched business

  • Entrepreneurs whose businesses have gained momentum without developing equally strong internal systems

  • Organizations redefining their business model or strategic direction

  • Founders rebuilding after a transition, restructuring, or period of stalled growth

  • Business owners preparing deliberately for their next stage

  • Founders who are talented and capable but tired of making every important decision alone

Your business does not need to be perfect before you apply.

You do, however, need to be willing to examine it honestly.

The founders who benefit most from this work are curious, open to challenge, responsive to feedback, and committed to building something intended to endure.

Every engagement is shaped around the organization in front of me. There is no generic formula imposed on every founder.

Depending on the needs of your business, our work may include:

  • Refining your business model and organizational structure

  • Clarifying your positioning and strategic priorities

  • Evaluating your offers, revenue streams, and pricing

  • Strengthening cash-flow awareness and financial decision-making

  • Developing foundational workflows and operating systems

  • Establishing clearer decision frameworks

  • Determining which parts of the business should be built now—and which can wait

  • Creating greater discipline around founder priorities, capacity, and execution

  • Preparing the organization for sustainable growth

One of the most important elements of Foundation Advisory is infrastructure sequencing.

Founders are often surrounded by advice about everything they could be doing: launching another offer, hiring a team, pursuing partnerships, raising capital, developing new content, expanding into another market, or adopting another platform.

But a business cannot build everything simultaneously.

Our work is to identify what matters most at your current stage, place those priorities in the correct sequence, and make decisions according to the long-term health of the organization—not the pressure of the moment.

Foundation Advisory includes weekly 45-minute sessions and up to 10 advisory hours each month.

Our standing sessions are structured to keep the work connected to real decisions and measurable progress.

A typical session includes:

  • A brief update on developments since our last conversation

  • A review of open decisions and previous action items

  • A focused discussion of the current priority within your Strategic Roadmap

  • A relevant financial or performance check-in

  • Clear decisions, ownership, and next steps before the following session

Between meetings, email serves as our primary communication channel, with a target response time of two business days for non-urgent matters.

You will not leave our conversations with a cloud of interesting ideas and no understanding of what comes next.

Every session is designed to move the business toward clearer decisions and stronger infrastructure.

Traditional consulting is often organized around a discrete project and a fixed deliverable. A consultant studies the problem, prepares a recommendation, and concludes the engagement when the report or project is complete.

Foundation Advisory is different.

This is an ongoing strategic partnership designed to strengthen the quality of your judgment as the organization evolves.

I serve as an experienced thought partner: helping you analyze decisions, challenge assumptions, identify structural gaps, evaluate tradeoffs, and remain connected to the larger direction of the business.

The engagement does not include day-to-day project management, direct supervision of employees, legal or accounting services, marketing agency execution, grant writing, recruiting, fundraising, investor introductions, or hands-on implementation.

The purpose is not to operate the business on your behalf.

It is to help you become more deliberate, disciplined, and structurally prepared as you operate it.

I have met too many brilliant founders whose businesses were being held together by personal endurance.

They were talented. They were committed. In many cases, they had already proven that people wanted what they were creating.

But the business still depended on them remembering everything, solving everything, approving everything, and carrying every important decision alone.

That is not a sustainable operating model.

And it is not a personal failure.

Many founders are taught how to start creating, selling, and promoting long before they are taught how to construct the systems required to support what they are building.

Foundation Advisory exists to close that gap.

It creates a place where founders can step outside the urgency of the week, examine the business as a whole, and begin constructing an organization capable of carrying more than their individual energy.

Foundation Advisory is offered at an investment of $1,500 per month and includes up to 10 advisory hours per month.

Each engagement begins with a one-month trial period. At the conclusion of that period, we determine together whether the relationship should continue through a three- or six-month engagement.

The trial is intentional.

Strategic advisory depends on trust, candor, mutual respect, and a genuine fit between the founder and advisor. Both of us should have the opportunity to experience the working relationship before making a longer commitment.

Every application is reviewed personally.

If I believe Foundation Advisory is well aligned with the needs of your business, you will receive a written Executive Advisory Recommendation outlining my assessment and the recommended path forward.

Foundation applicants are not ordinarily required to schedule a separate consultation before receiving this recommendation. Your application is therefore an important part of the evaluation process, and I encourage you to answer thoughtfully and candidly.

If you choose to proceed, you will receive:

  • The Master Executive Advisory Agreement and your Engagement Addendum

  • The Creativity Meets Capital Executive Advisory Handbook

  • A personalized Client Welcome Guide

  • Your Kickoff Questionnaire

  • A formal Kickoff Meeting

  • An initial Strategic Roadmap for our work together

From there, your standing advisory sessions begin.

There is no pressure built into the application process. If the engagement is not the right fit—or not the right fit yet—it is better for both of us to identify that before the work begins.

It may need stronger decisions.

It may need someone who can see the patterns you cannot easily see while standing inside the organization.

It may need a clearer understanding of what to build now, what to postpone, what to refine, and what to stop carrying altogether.

Talent may have started the business.

But infrastructure is what gives that talent somewhere durable to live.

If you are ready to begin building that infrastructure with greater intention, I invite you to apply for Foundation Advisory.

Some founders choose to participate in The Capital Studio while receiving Foundation Advisory, allowing them to strengthen their broader business education while applying what they are learning directly to their own organization.

The Capital Studio provides the structured curriculum. Foundation Advisory provides the individualized strategic guidance.

Together, they offer founders an opportunity to develop their business knowledge while receiving ongoing support around the specific decisions, systems, and priorities shaping their company.

Participation in The Capital Studio is separate from Foundation Advisory and requires its own enrollment.
