Flying SCOTUS Monkeys

Do you believe the conservative justices on the Supreme Court are making a decision about mail-in voting based on the Constitution, or based on who they would like to win elections?

If you said they were making these decisions based on the Constitution, then you are probably a racist, homophobic crackhead who believes Donald Trump is the second coming of Jesus Christ. If you believe they are making their decisions based on who they want to win elections because you've seen the massive corruption they've been playing around with for the past several years, then you would be correct.

Let's be real. The wife of one of the justices has worked for Donald Trump, and the wife of another justice has flown a MAGA flag outside of their home in Virginia. Of course, the justice lives in that home too, and are you gonna live in a home you own that flies a flag for something that you don't support? That would be like me living in a house that flies a flag for ketchup.

SCOTUS issued an emergency order this week that allows the Trump regime to move forward, for now, with plans to restrict mail-in voting ahead of the midterm elections. It's a ruling realists say will bring chaos to the elections only days before ballots in some states are mailed out.

The ruling also allows the regime to proceed with an unconstitutional executive order Trump signed in March ordering the Postal Service to determine which voters should receive mail-in ballots. It also directs the Department of Homeland Security to build a database of U.S. citizens who are eligible to vote.

This ruling is bullshit. A 2025 report by the Brookings Institution found that mail voting fraud occurred in about four cases out of every 10 million mail ballots cast.

Elections are managed by the states, not the federal government. This is in the Constitution, which the conservative justices on the Supreme Court claim all their decisions are based on. So DHS has no business building a database of voters. Political parties build databases of voters because that’s something very political. For DHS to build a database, it's for them to single out who can and cannot vote, which is not their responsibility…or constitutional.

It is also not the responsibility of the Postal Service to determine who can or cannot vote. The job for the Postal Service when it comes to elections is to pick up and deliver the ballots, not determine which ones they should deliver.

SCOTUS has not ruled whether or not Trump's EO is constitutional, but they are allowing it to proceed for now. If that smells like bullshit to you, that's probably because it stinks to high heaven. One would think that if Trump's EO is unconstitutional, then it is extremely unfair and very damaging to allow it to proceed, especially so close to the elections. Maybe in this case, it's not bullshit, but flying monkey shit.

When it comes to elections, SCOTUS has ruled time and time again in favor of conservatives. This is a case that the Trump regime should lose because it is very clear that the federal government has no business meddling in state elections. But you never know which way this fucknut Supreme Court will rule because you would think that they wouldn't grant immunity to a deranged president for inciting an insurrection against his own country. And just like they did with the immunity case, SCOTUS is dragging their heels on the mail ballot ruling.

Basically, Trump is creating a list of eligible voters, and if you are not on that list, then the Postal Service will not deliver your ballot. Of course, all the voters on this list are Trump-approved. This is why blue states have refused to cooperate with Trump's demands to provide him with a list of all of their voters. Again, the federal government has no business fucking with elections.

Trump does not care if your vote is counted. Remember, on election nights, he demands that the vote count be stopped while he is ahead.

Yesterday (Thursday), a federal judge halted, at least for the moment, attempts to implement Trump’s unconstitutional EO.

Trump’s EO stalled for a second time about a week before the first mail ballots are due to be sent out for the rapidly approaching midterms. In the U.S. District Court, Judge Indira Talwani placed a 14-day hold on the Trump regime implementing the order in a case that’s headed back to SCOTUS.

Talwani wrote in her ruling: “Plaintiff states have neither time nor funds to design new mail ballots, seek approval of the new designs, order production of mail ballots, update their own election management systems, train election officials to use the USPS portal and upload citizen data to the portal, all before the midterms.”

As we have seen in Trump 2.0, this regime can't do anything without mass confusion, whether it's deportations, fighting wars, slapping tariffs on allies, eliminating federal jobs, naming shit after Taco, renovating reflecting pools, renaming large bodies of water, prosecuting Trump's enemies and sandwich throwers, or building stupid ass ballrooms, so what makes anyone believe that they can manage a directory of eligible voters within the next 67 days?

Donald Trump is trying to manage our elections in the style of Vladimir Putin.

Trump and Republicans are doing everything they can to steal the midterms, and with the help of SCOTUS, that's exactly what is going to happen.

There are 67 days left until the midterms.

Creative note: I had a hard time trying to write for this subject yesterday, and it wouldn't come to me. And then I got the idea on Zuckerberg, so I went for that one instead. Then this idea came to me while I was making my nightly salad.

GoComics: While I criticize GoComics AI censor bot system when it comes to dealing with the comments, I am appreciative of them because they are a paying client and it is one of the biggest outlets for political cartoons. I'm honored to be included there. But around 4 PM yesterday, my cartoon on Lake Ontario was removed from their site.

Before the cartoon was removed, several MAGAts were commenting and encouraging each other to lodge complaints, and they were including instructions on where to find the link and how to do it. Their efforts ultimately succeeded, and they are very pleased with themselves for it, and they are still crowing about it. Losers need to take their victories where they can get them. You have to remember, these are the snowflakes who scream and whine about free speech and cancel culture, yet they had to translate something to find out that they were offended by it. My question to them: when they rush to have something removed that they find distasteful, who are they protecting?

If you have to translate to be offended, then you're probably not really offended.

GoComics has every right to pull any cartoon that they don't want on their site. This is not a free speech issue, as it is not a publicly owned platform. GoComics has not reached out to talk to me about the issue yet, and I'm not going to reach out to them about it either. I'm just going to let sleeping dogs lie instead of looking for a fight. If I have learned only two things in my 36-year career, it's that you need to choose your battles, and conservatives don't have a sense of humor.

Signed prints and books: I cannot take orders for signed prints or for my books at this time. So please do not send me money or place orders for them until further notice. Because of the stroke, it is an ordeal for me to get to the post office, so we’re gonna hold off until I’m fully capable of doing so. I appreciate your understanding.

Merch: Did you know there’s a Claytoonz store? My cartoons are printed on mugs, clothing, caps, and even a Peezy T-shirt. If you ever want a specific cartoon on some merch, let me know, and I’ll add it.
