The Consciousness of the Father
When Yeshua speaks of the Father, he is speaking of:
the Ulimate Source
the Origin
the Eternal Ground of Being
the Presence of Love
the Divine Rhythm running through all creation
He lives from this awareness so fully that he becomes transparent to it.
His actions flow from it.
His compassion arises from it.
His wisdom springs from it.
This is why he says:
“The Son can do nothing by himself;
he can only do what he sees the Father doing.”
In modern ears this may sound limiting.
In mystical ears, it is liberating.
It means:
“I act from the deepest place of divine truth within me.
I align myself completely with Love.
I flow with the Source, not against it.”
This is not passivity.
It is oneness.
What Yeshua Wanted Most for His Followers
As Yeshua speaks beneath the olive trees, his voice grows more tender.
“This is my prayer,” he says,
“that they may all be one.
Just as You are in me,
and I am in You…”
And then, astonishingly:
“…that they may also be in Us.”
He is not praying that people join a new religion.
He is praying that they awaken to and embrace this transcendent union.
That they discover the same consciousness that lives in him.
That they see the world as he sees it.
That they love as he loves.
That they recognize their identity in the divine.
This is salvation.
This is the heart of the Way.
The Glory He Gave Us
Then he says something even more staggering:
“The glory You have given me, I have given to them.”
In Aramaic, glory (tušbuḥtā ) does not mean honor, status, or fame.
It means:
the radiance of the Divine
the luminosity of the awakened soul
the presence of God stirring within a person
the realized identity of being a child of the Source
He does not reserve this glory.
He shares it.
He does not guard it.
He bestows it.
He does not hoard it.
He pours it out.
This is not the language of exclusivity.
This is the language of shared participation in the Divine Life.
A Moment of Stillness Beneath the Trees
As he finishes speaking, the night grows impossibly quiet.
Even the breeze seems to pause.
You look around at the small group gathered with him.
They are not scholars.
They are not priests.
They are not powerful.
And yet, this humble circle is being invited into the deepest truth of existence:
God is not separate.
God is alive and waiting within each of us.
And this union is the destiny of the human soul.
We merely need to accept the invitation.
You feel the weight of it — not heavy, but holy.
The olive trees stand witness, their branches swaying gently as though nodding in agreement.
And you know, in your bones,
that nothing will ever be the same.
Next, as we enter Chapter Seven, we will explore what living The Way of Love looks like in our day-to-day lives.
In the days and weeks that follow, I’ll continue to post sections from the new book as I craft them, or as they craft me. Your thoughts and comments, as always, will be greatly appreciated.
