Sometimes this shit really does write itself.
The revelation that Donald Trump stowed away in a catering truck to escape an Iranian death plot (while leaving the plane full of clueless staff and journalists behind to be blown up) should cement his reputation as not only a coward but also The World’s Worst Person.
It’s not the Nobel Peace Prize he covets so noisily but it will have to do.
A quick bit of background in case you haven’t read this yet: On July 8, a credible Iranian assassination threat against Trump was detected while he was preparing to leave a NATO meeting in Turkey. In short order, a plan was devised that would dupe staff and reporters into thinking he was on the plane – business as usual - while, in fact, he was smuggled into a catering truck and transferred to another plane to escape danger.
Did they lure him with a trail of Big Macs? (“Just follow the pickle chips, sir…”)
