I slowly turned in a full circle.
Nothing around me changed.
The hills.
The fields.
The sky.
They had been there all along.
The only thing that changed...
...was where I chose to look.
It made me wonder how often life works the same way.
Sometimes our circumstances haven’t changed at all.
But the moment we slow down something we’ve been unable to see suddenly comes into view.
Not because it’s new.
Because we've been looking in the same direction for wy too long.
Pressure has a way of narrowing our focus.
We become so busy carrying responsibilities, solving problems, and staying one step ahead that we stop noticing what else is possible.
Not because it isn’t there.
Because we've been looking in the same direction for too long.
That’s what inspired me to create Under Pressure: Protect Your Peace. Keep Your Edge.
Not because I have all the answers.
But because I’ve seen how many capable women become so accustomed to living under pressure that they forget there’s another way to experience their lives.
Sometimes nothing has to change around us,
Sometimes all it takes is the space to look again,
Sometimes the biggest shift isn’t changing your life.
It’s changing what you’re able to see.
