This past couple of weeks we’ve been rather occupied working on a short module for the Knave 2 game jam. We’ve been planning on making a module for our sci-fi game, but sadly we always work best when desperately near impossible deadlines so we joined the game jam two weeks before its end. It was a VERY close call, even if the jam page shows we uploaded our files half an hour before the end, the last, and actually complete version was probably uploaded 1 minute before everything was blocked for review.
It was very stressful, like all game jams are, but it's also nice to push your abilities and resilience to the extreme a couple times a year.
We didn’t want to stray too far away from our own mega-structural ideas so we made an underground module where players visit a similar but medieval environment.
You can download the module for free on the following link (and maybe follow us on itch!): https://calaverastudio.itch.io/lithoplex
Here is some of the art for the game. We used quite a bit of blender for the basic blocking using ink after to fill in all details and shading.
