The 2026 Our Story, Our Faith conference has come to a close.

The 2026 Our Story, Our Faith conference has come to a close. We savored a blessed two days together, reflecting on the story of the Burmese Christian Diaspora in Indiana. As we release recordings of the sessions over the next few months, we hope to sustain the curiosities that were sparked this past weekend. The conference has certainly left attendees with many ruminating questions that have implications for various immigrant faith communities.

Who does the “American Dream” belong to?

Does gratitude mean we are forever indebted?

What role does the church have in cultural preservation?

In today’s newsletter, we reflect on the valuable questions inspired by the Burmese diaspora in Indiana. Through these written conference reflections, we also hope to welcome readers who couldn’t attend into the post-conference conversations we’re having.
