I am found of the technique using both black & white AND color in the same photo. When I started photography a very long time ago, this technique was not possible in a simple way in the analog world of photography. With new processing metods and techniques it is now possible in the digital age by using a good software using masking and layers. I like to use selective coloring when I want a specific object or detail to pop in the photo. One way to show the details in another way and to keep the focus on the specific part I want to show.
I have been experimenting with different subjects to learn this method. Flowers are always a kind example because of all the colors of a beautiful flower. Here below you can see some of my photos where I have used selective coloring.
