I recently returned from a trip to the “old country”—the East Coast.

I just returned from the Adirondacks in upstate New York, where family and friends gathered to celebrate the life of my brother Phil, who died on February 2.

Have you ever heard or read something which is so downright stupid, it’s almost impossible to believe?

If you read my column last week, and if you did not, shame on you, then you will recall that I wrote about Spain’s soccer team not singing their national anthem at the World Cup for the simple reason that their national anthem does not have any lyrics.

We all experience things differently.

PREAMBLE: The vast majority of my columns tend to be on the humorous side.

Uninvited Guest

My father Dave Ross was an unusually generous man.

I watch a whole lot of television, but almost never live.

I am in the habit of submitting just one column per week, but occasionally something happens which is so remarkable that it deserves attention, and so it is with the Knicks’ miracle comeback last night.
