That’s where I found myself not long ago. The last time you heard from me, I was knee-deep in launching a new business, juggling motherhood, homeschooling, and the swirl of everyday life. As you already know, my daughter comes first. Everything else has to fall into place around that. So, with limited hours in my day and a full heart at home, I made the hard choice to pause my writing while I focused on growing something new.
Summer came and went in a beautiful blur of study sessions, family time, and sunshine. And now, finally, I’ve found my rhythm again. I’m excited to pop back in and say hello.
No, I haven’t invented the next great AI app (though wouldn’t that be something!). Instead, I’ve leaned into something far more down-to-earth, something that’s both fun and fruitful for our family.
I’ve always been a thrifter at heart. Sure, I enjoy a new outfit now and then, but there’s nothing quite like the thrill of finding a hidden gem at a bargain price. Over the years, I’ve dabbled in selling, on OfferUp when we moved, and on Facebook Marketplace for local finds. Then I discovered Kidizen, a sweet little app for selling kids’ clothes, and began reselling my daughter’s gently worn favorites… until the platform shut down.
That twist led me to Poshmark, where I started rebuilding my online closet and learning the ins and outs of the reseller world. A friend’s story about funding a family trip to Europe entirely through her sales caught my attention, but it wasn’t until my husband gave me a gentle nudge that I decided to dive in fully, including the challenge of navigating Ebay. After all, a little extra income never hurts, especially when passion is part of the process.
Now, my days include treasure hunts for new inventory, photo sessions, and the not-so-glamorous but satisfying rhythm of listing and shipping. The real joy, though, is when my phone chimes with that familiar “cha-ching” dropping in through multiple selling platforms, a daily reminder that small, steady efforts add up to something meaningful.
Life is full of opportunity, a blank canvas waiting for our touch. With each new season, we’re given the chance to pick up the brush again, reinvent ourselves, and create a masterpiece that feels true to who we’re becoming.
With love, health, and knowledge, may you live abundantly. See you again in the next post with some exciting new growth mindset content for kids. Stay tuned!
Warmly,
Brit-Simone
P.S. My you enjoy the little AI video a friend made for us from a photo.
I love to share what works for me and my family. May you too find what best serves you and yours. These are two supplements in our daily essentials stack that I simply would not live without. ☺️
Have you read about the nutrient that can:
Reduce the risk of and reverse fatty liver disease, type 2 diabetes, and heart disease.
Reduce the risk of cancer.
Meaningfully slow the effects of aging to improve overall well-being.
If you haven’t yet read The Longevity Nutrient by nerdy, yet super cool veterinary epidemiologist, Dr. Stephanie Venn-Watson, you seriously will want to!
Then, you will want to start using Fatty 15 if you’re not getting enough C-15 in your current diet. (And from what I have learned, I know you’re not!) We all take this, my daughter included!
Finally, for the adults aging gracefully, check out what Timeline’s Mitopure supplement and it’s unique delivery system does for your mitochondria. It is the first and only clinically tested, highly pure Urolithin A postbiotic that improves cellular energy and muscle strength. Yes please!
