I had another lie in today, but I didn’t mean to. I had plans. I was meant to go up the toon (city centre) with my family for something, but they just let me sleep. It wasn’t a big event or anything, it was more of a thing where we drop off our son then wait about then pick him up. But I wanted to go, not just for that, but because I also wanted to take back that telly that I bought, the one I keep mentioning.

I decided to just take it back on Monday, maybe, on my day off, when the toon is a bit empty. Less queues. I especially don’t want a queue behind me when I go to get this refund.

Honestly, I’ve got it into my head there’s going to be a problem. Not only might there be a problem getting a refund rather than a replacement (I want a refund), but I’m not totally sure if I can take it back to the shop after buying it online. I spent a while looking at their site to see what the rules were.

It said that you can return stuff to their shops if you buy it online. But a few lines below it, there was a link saying “Click here to start the returns process” or something. I clicked on it, then it asked why I’m returning it. I said it was faulty. Then it presented me with a phone number to call.

A phone number. To talk to a person.

Fuck right off.

I wasn’t sure if that was only for people wanting their faulty product picked up from their house, whereas I plan on going into the shop with it. So I decided that it didn’t apply to me. I decided that I only saw the bit about it being okay to take it into the shop. I didn’t see anything about having to call a phone number and speak to a person. I have no recollection of that event at this time.

So I’m just going to take it in on Monday, I think. And I hope to fuck they don’t say that I have to call that number first. You can picture the situation. You’re there in front of a flesh and blood member of staff, but they can’t do anything unless you call that number and go through the proper procedure. And all that in front of a queue.

Anyway, after stressing out about that, I played a bit of Kingdom Come Deliverance II, off stream. Just trading stuff. I love going up to traders in the game and selling stuff I’ve acquired from robbing, killing and burgling. It’s very relaxing, like knitting. I’ve got an absolute fortune in the game, I don’t even need the money. But I’m hooked.

Eventually my family came back. And a bit later, I went out for a walk to the shops, for toothpaste and other things. I bought two tubes of toothpaste, to save me a trip. I’m so wise.

I decided to stop at a place for a wee cappuccino, and while sitting there, I saw the strangest thing.

You probably can’t see it in that picture, so here’s a close up.

Can you see it?

I’ll zoom in one more time.

It’s a face on a satellite dish, caused by rust, and the roof being partially visible through the wee holes. It’s not quite the Virgin Mary toast. More like the Andre Agassi Satellite Dish.

I finished the cappuccino and headed back.

Later on, I ordered a curry in for me and my son, and we watched a bit of Band of Brothers. I’ve already seen it, and I’m forcing him to watch it. We’re on episode 8 of 10. I’d say he’d give it 4 marks out of 5, possibly just 3 out of 5. We’ll see. He glances at his phone now and then, particularly during the talky bits about CO this and platoons and regiments that. Halfway through the episode, he fucked off to the toilet, and I could hear him on his phone, watching videos. When he left the toilet, he didn’t come back to the living room, he just went to his room, forgetting (or not caring) that we were watching something. Haha.

I switched off the telly and got ready for my stream, and I streamed till about 2am.
