🧠 What Do We Know About the MCQ 2026 for the AVE?

The MCQ exam will be held on 17 April 2026. It’s a one-day exam

Yes. The MCQ exam fee has increased to AUD $3,460. Make sure to plan for this in your budget if you’re sitting the exam in 2026.

The exam will be offered at supervised venues in both Australia and overseas:

Australia: Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, and Perth.

International locations: Auckland, London, Dubai, New Delhi, and Singapore

Not just yet. New AVE Eligibility Applications are currently paused and will reopen at 10:00am AEST on 6 October 2025.

⚠️ Important:

This application is only for the initial eligibility assessment, not for the exam itself.

Due to high demand, there are limited places available in the 2026 MCQ.

If those places fill up quickly, the AVBC may pause applications again.

If you're aiming to sit the 2026 MCQ, here's what we recommend:

✅ Have documents ready. Ensure you have everything needed for the eligibility application so you can apply without delays, including the English Exam score required.

✅ Mark your calendar: October 6, 2025, at 10:00am AEST, set a reminder to submit your eligibility application as soon as it opens.

✅ Prepare early. If you have all the paperwork ready to apply, start studying now so you're ready to sit the MCQ in April.

✅ Keep an eye on the AVBC website for any updates regarding available places or additional changes.
