Some of the most challenging symptoms reported by people living with infection-associated chronic conditions are changes in mood, behavior, and cognition. Anxiety, depression, OCD, irritability, emotional lability, and cognitive dysfunction are often difficult to treat and can significantly impact daily life.

In this conversation, we revisit one of our educational webinars exploring how these symptoms present across conditions including PANS/PANDAS, Long COVID, ME/CFS, and chronic Lyme disease. We also discuss the Brain Inflammation Collaborative’s Mood & Behavior Survey on the unhide® Platform, which was designed to compare these symptoms across multiple conditions and generate data that can improve research and clinical care.

Whether you are a patient, caregiver, clinician, or researcher, we hope this discussion provides helpful context for understanding the biological connections that may exist across these conditions.
