What a wild week in Illinois. The usual headlines prevailed for our state - spending that outpaces states larger than ours, and businesses departing Illinois. However, what stole the show came Tuesday morning, as a prominent Illinois Democrat was indicted on federal charges relating to her service in the House. These charges are serious, and that’s why I took immediate action calling for a special investigation with my colleagues. The people deserve to see every piece of this investigation - and Republicans are going to make sure that there are no stones left unturned.

In just one week’s time - two Illinois House Democrats have been indicated or forced to resign due to misconduct, ethics violations, and federal charges.
Democrat Harry Benton was kicked out of Caucus and off of his Committees earlier this year due to secret allegations of sexual harassment. Last week, Benton resigned following threats from the Speaker that he would be expelled. Democrat leaders are now trying to bury the report on Benton. What happened to “me too?”
NOW- Democrat Carol Ammons from Champaign has been indicated on federal charges of wire fraud, campaign finance violations, and more.
All This Democrat Corruption Certainly Feels Very ‘Illinois’
Energy is one of the most important issues to me. If you’re a homeowner, likely it is to you as well. We’re all sick and tired of these outrageous energy bills. Unfortunately, the green new deal continues claiming victims here in Illinois. This time, it’s the Newton power plant, along with two others we will be visiting soon.

Florida Has Twice The Population of Illinois, But Spends $13 Million Less??
Yet another company has decided that the best option for their business, and customers, is to move operations out of Illinois. Do it Best is headed to Indiana, taking several hundred jobs with them, and once again proving that our neighboring states’ best economic development tool is Illinois terrible business climate.
