There's a saying that my colleagues and I in the Freedom Caucus have; The Fight For Freedom Never Ends. In Illinois, that is certainly true.

This has been a special weekend for our Nation. As the United States celebrates 250 years - Illinoisans are perhaps all too familiar with the fight for freedom and protecting our rights. You see - in Illinois, we are still fighting to protect things like your 2nd Amendment, Freedom of Speech, and more. This week’s Substack features a section on my work to protect your right to own whatever firearm you want - along with information on power plant closures, community storm damage, and more.

Halbrook Hosts USDA Meeting For Moultrie County Area Rural Development

This meeting, hosted by Rep. Halbrook, brought together local officials, municipal leaders, and representatives from the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development Agency to discuss the needs, priorities, challenges, and opportunities facing Moultrie County and its municipalities.

Teutopolis Storm Damage and Recovery

Communities in Effingham County are still recovering from a wave of destructive storms that rolled through two weeks ago. This week - I checked in on the damage just north of Teutopolis, where the Governor and IEMA made a visit as they declare a state of emergency. State relief assistance should be made available very soon.

Fighting Against Illinois’ Glock Pistol Ban

Once again - the Illinois Democrats are attacking your Constitutional Rights and 2nd Amendment. This time, they are coming after your Glock pistols.

The Democrats have decided that the answer to all of the gun violence and criminal activity in Illinois (mostly Chicago) is to ban a certain mechanical piece inside Glock pistols - thus taking them off the market.
