I know this is technically an April recap, but it wouldn’t be a ME post if I didn’t set the current scene for you at least a little bit. I’m writing this recap at 7:40pm Friday, May 1st, from my bed, and I could not be happier. The EUPHORIA I feel not having any plans tonight is almost indescribable. I recorded a podcast earlier with Dr. Diamond, followed by sushi with my mom and Grey, followed by a day of fun and errands, and I am totally exhausted. The weeks are truly filling up!!

Now let’s get right into APRIL because I feel like it was literally two minutes long? The days and nights are flying by at a pace I’m not all that comfortable with. Let’s start with the biggest shift in my life, the podcast.

I’ve now had Jordan on, Susan on, Roxy on, along with some unreleased guests, and of course some solo pods. THIS SHIT IS HARD. I’m starting to love it, but I am still very much finding my groove, my voice. I’m always VERY weirdly nervous right before I begin any episode? During the recordings, I refuse to look down at any questions or paperwork? It almost feels like cheating if I do? I want my guests to feel like they have my full attention, so I never want to break eye contact, which I realize is unnecessarily intense, I knowwwww. I treat these pods like they’re live television (much like Daily Pop), and I feel a deep responsibility, a need to keep us on some kind of track. I do realize this is not sustainable, and I’m going to have to find a happy medium very soon, but I wanted to extend a genuine thank you if you are watching or listening! Feels really good to be back and being in front of you guys again.

I went through my camera roll to jog some memories of the month, and a big part of it was going to Mexico, which we already spoke about, so I don’t want to spend too much time here, but a very quick recap was that it was incredibly relaxing and I left with a lot of unworn outfits that are going to get pushed out to summer vacation. CONVENIENT. Another honorable mention is EASTER! Yes, that also happened in the BEGINNING of April and feels like it happened two years ago, but props to my simplistic chic little table. I love just a simple little scape.

Moving right along, Jordan and I did have our first event at Row’s future school where we met all the incoming families. All went well, everybody seemed sweet enough. Hopefully some really cool relationships come from this new phase of life. I have to say I was very EMO upon leaving. Row starting kinder is not something I have allowed myself to fully process, as I want to stay as present as possible during these last few months of pre-school. I saw a TikTok that said the summer before kindergarten is the last time your kid is small, and I kinda lost it. When they say time flies, they truly mean at a lightning speed, it’s insane to watch.

Another very important mention for this month is that I got micro needling. I have done this a few times before, but this time really reminded me I need to be doing this every 5 weeks. It’s such an easy, no-fluff treatment that really works! I never use numbing cream because it literally causes me to freak out and makes me feel like I can’t swallow, and it’s totally manageable. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! I truly believe it has a lifting effect and can push your botox appointments further out, no joke.

Lastly, and probably very importantly, I bought a lot of shoes this month. Some super fun ones, which we will most certainly get into ;)

All in all April was fine, but now that we have entered my birth month, I’m very ready to be extraaaaaa fabulous. Love you guys, BYEEE
