Bob · Bob’s Daily Morning Gratitude Substack

Monday morning, early rise. I woke up feeling weighted down, carrying a heavy stack of challenges into the new week—family, business, home, health—starting the day low on energy and overwhelmed before things even got moving.

I retreated to the kitchen to make a cup of coffee, followed by meditation, using alternate nostril breathing and reminding myself that “Life is Good.”

I can’t pretend today is going to be easy. But with a little focused effort, I can stop adding more weight than the day actually contains:

  • The Home: The first task was shop-vacuuming a small amount of water that entered the basement last evening. Not a planned activity, but once completed, it was officially removed from the worry cycle.

  • The Family: Sibling conflicts regarding my mother’s hospice care can be dropped with a simple “Let Them.” That phrase really releases the mental load.

  • The Health: My health is a continuous challenge, but acceptance of chronic pain lessens the weight—along with the help of a few Tylenol.

  • The Business: The business deal on today’s horizon will evolve and continue as a work in progress.

With a little thoughtful insight, a bit of mental reframing, and taking things one focused step at a time, the load of the day and week begins to lighten.

Namaste my friends, may you have a day of ease with the wind at your back.
