Three Years Out

We’re halfway there.

Two years removed from the last Bitcoin halving, and about two years out from the next one, expected around April 2028.

That puts us in a part of the cycle that doesn’t get much attention, but probably should… Because if history is any guide, what comes next is where things start to get interesting.

It’s time to pay attention.

Bitcoin cycles aren’t random.

They’ve followed a rhythm.

Imperfect, evolving, but consistent.

  • Bull markets tend to peak 12–18 months after a halving

  • That pattern held in the last cycle, when Bitcoin reached all-time highs near $126K

  • The two cycles before that? Same story: peaks roughly 18 months post-halving

  • Even the first cycle, though less mature, peaked about 12 months after

History doesn’t repeat.

It rhymes.

  • 4 halvings to date

  • 4 similar patterns

Take a Look

If that pattern continues…

The timeline is hard to ignore:

  • 2026–2027: Accumulation + skepticism

  • 2028: Halving narrative returns

  • 2029–2030: Peak cycle mania phase

That puts us about 3 years away from a potential cycle top.

And if that sounds far away, it’s not. Because positioning for that kind of environment doesn’t happen during the mania—it happens well before it.

There’s something else worth paying attention to: psychological barriers don’t scale linearly. For years, Bitcoiners talked about six-figure Bitcoin like it was inevitable. Then it happened. And it still felt surreal.

$100K wasn’t just another number—it was a wall. A milestone that carried weight, not just mathematically, but emotionally.

For newcomers, it felt extreme. For outsiders, it felt absurd. Even for long-time holders, it was a moment of validation and, for many, a moment to sell.

Because let’s be honest:

If you held Bitcoin under $1… under $100… even under $1,000 Taking some profit at $100K isn’t weakness. It’s human.

The first time we hit $100k…

I Wrote About It Here!

Within Bitcoin circles, there’s been no shortage of bold projections:

  • $250K

  • $500K

  • $1M

This is often referred to as future price anchoring—mentally preparing for where Bitcoin could go.

But here’s the irony: We haven’t actually lived through those prices yet. And living through them is very different than predicting them.

If $100K was a psychological hurdle, what happens at $250K? What does $500K feel like in real time? How do markets behave when Bitcoin approaches $1M?

It’s not just about whether those numbers are possible. It’s about whether participants, new and old, are actually prepared for them.

As Bitcoin has grown, its cycles have changed.

  • The upside is still there but less it’s explosive in percentage terms

  • Drawdowns still hit hard but are absorbed by larger capital bases

  • It takes more capital to move the market than ever before

That doesn’t mean cycles are gone.

It means they’re maturing. And with that maturity comes a different kind of volatility: less chaotic, but no less significant.

The period between 2028 and 2030 could be unlike anything we’ve seen.

Not because the pattern is new but because the scale is.

You’ll have:

  • A new wave of participants entering at higher price levels

  • Long-time holders sitting on generational gains

  • Institutions that have now lived through multiple cycles

  • A global financial environment that may look very different than today

And all of them will collide in the same window.

That’s where things get unpredictable.

That’s where narratives break.

That’s where people make decisions they didn’t think they would.

By the time the next bull market is obvious…

  • It will already be well underway.

By the time prices feel “too high”…

  • They may still have further to go.

And by the time the peak feels euphoric…

  • It will likely be closer than it appears.

Right now isn’t the exciting part of the cycle.

It’s the quiet part.

The part where conviction is built or lost. The part where positioning happens without attention. The part where the future is shaped, before headlines catch up.

Because three years from now, if Bitcoin is entering its most aggressive bull phase yet… The question won’t be whether you saw it coming.

It’ll be whether you acted like it was.
