While I’m not completely against supplements, it is certainly more beneficial to get your nutrients from food when you can. Here in the US, supplements are unregulated. No government agency checks to make sure that what’s on the label is what’s in package, or whether it is safe and effective. Research shows that some supplements can be dangerous. In addition, some of the food trends promoted by influencers are not as healthy as at first meets the eye. Then of course there are the ultra-processed foods, designed to make corporations and doctors rich while they make you fat and sick.

I’ve included some info on these topics in the notes below, just in case you or someone you know needs a reminder. (Please feel free to share the individual notes as you read them, or the entire post when you get to the end.)

Last but not least, you will find a link to a list of my articles on fall gardening, for beginners with tiny budgets. But even if you're not a beginner, you might find tips you can use. :)

The notes tend to have more information than at first meets the eye. Click the date to open each note you want to read. They will open in a new tab.

Last but not least, here’s the link to the list of my fall gardening articles:

Thanks for reading! That’s all for now, but I’ll be back next week with more tips or stories to enrich your gardening adventures.
