Stream It This Week: TV Premieres June 15–21, 2026

Anyone watch that UFC at the White House thing on Sunday? I tried, but the Paramount+ app kept crashing, which I took as a sign to stay the hell away. I’ll be looking for a complete lowlights reel on YouTube today, but I have already seen a couple of moments from America’s Idiocracy moment, like Trumpy the Clown falling asleep in the front row and Joe Rogan showing up in an ill-fitting suit to gladhand after criticizing the event for weeks. As Logan Roy once said, these are not serious people.

The McBee Dynasty (Bravo, Peacock) Season 3 premiere: Imagine the drama of Dutton Ranch in a reality TV setting, but with far less compelling characters—that’s pretty much The McBee Dynasty: Real Cowboys, now kicking off its third (!) season. The show follows the McBee family as they work to “save” their Missouri farm and cattle ranch from alleged financial oblivion while still making time for the kind of familial spats and tell-all interviews that Bravo contractually requires. Little Singles (TLC, HBO Max) New series

America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders (Netflix) Season 3 premiere: Wasn’t there already a reality show about the Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders? Yep. Before America’s Sweethearts: Dallas Cowboys Cheerleaders debuted in 2024, there was Making the Team, which ran for 16 seasons on CMT, which is now a zombie Paramount channel coasting on reruns and uncanceled cable service contracts—but I digress, and I’ll spare you my dissertation about how cable TV is dead and never coming back. Anyway: America’s Sweethearts follows pom-pom-shaking hopefuls from the audition process to training camp to the NFL big time, capturing all the drama, tears, and butt glue applications along the way. Never Change! (Hulu) Movie premiere: Finally, some scripted fare (you may have noticed that I get kinda punchy when all I have to write about is reality TV). In Never Change!, a high school class that was supposed to graduate in 2008 but never did after a tornado abruptly ended their senior year, reluctantly reconvenes in their 30s. This comedy from writers John Reynolds (FX’s Adults) and Marty Schousboe (Youth in Revolt) features an impressive cast, including Sofia Black-D’Elia, Jo Firestone, Maria Thayer, Topher Grace, and Ana Gasteyer. The Simpsons: Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition (Disney+) Special: Essentially two half-hour episodes melded into a single special by Fox’s Disney overlords, The Simpsons: Extreme Makeover: Homer Edition finds a dissatisfied, wine-logged Marge imagining herself with a less incompetent Homer—three different Homers, to be exact. 5th Annual Las Culturistas Awards (Bravo, Peacock) Special: Podcasting comedians Bowen Yang and Matt Rogers host the only awards show that really matters, a refreshingly unserious pop-cultural event featuring over 100 ridiculous nomination categories. Who doesn’t want to know who’ll win the trophy for the “All Good Either Way Award for Bisexuality in Media” (the nominees include Hacks’ Hannah Einbinder and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson for Moana) or “Best Disney Hotel for Intercourse”? I Will Find You (Netflix) New series: A man (Sam Worthington, Avatar) serving a life sentence for murdering his son breaks out of prison after a journalist (Britt Lower, Severance) shows him evidence that said son is still alive—but where? And with whom? And why? It’s like a big cable knit sweater that someone keeps knitting, and knitting, and knitting, to quote master sleuth Pee-Wee Herman. I Will Find You is the latest in a long series of Netflix adaptations of Harlan Coben thriller novels, but the first to conveniently declare the endgame in its title. I Will Find You trailer

Sugar (Apple TV) Season 2 premiere: Most dramas promise a “big plot twist,” but never quite deliver. The end of the first season of Colin Farrell’s Sugar, however, gave viewers a whopper of a curveball that took the series from LA crime-noir to sci-fi in seconds. In Season 2, private investigator John Sugar (Farrell) is working to locate the missing brother of a rising boxing star while also continuing the search for his own sister. A new case means a new show cast, which includes Laura Donnelly, Sascha Calle, and Shea Whigham, and a rewatch of Sugar’s 2024 debut season is probably in order. Sugar S2 trailer

How to Make a Killing (HBO, HBO Max) Movie streaming premiere: A24 theatrical release How to Make a Killing didn’t really live up to its title at the box office earlier this year, but it’s due for a second life on the streams. In the film, preposterously named hustler Becket Redfellow (Glen Powell) is determined to claim his inheritance from the wealthy family that disowned him, but to get his $28 million he’ll have to “prune the family tree,” if you catch his darkly comedic drift. I mean, I don’t, but somebody must. I do know that Season 3 will bring the much geeked-about Battle of the Gullet, which isn’t a new Food Network show but an epic clash that required lighting over 20 stuntmen on fire—paired with HoD’s dragon-generating budget, it’s fun just imagining how much HBO production debt that presumed new owner Paramount is going to be stuck with. The Agency (Paramount+) Season 2 premiere: Speaking of Paramount properties, ever wonder what happened to Showtime? The one-time Pepsi to HBO’s Coke has become more subsumed into the Paramount+ app with each passing year, and now one of the Showtime brand’s most promising new originals from 2024, The Agency, has shaken the old SHO label completely. But, once again, I’ve sidetracked into TV biz minutiae, when I should be telling you that Michael Fassbender’s taut spy thriller is worth watching no matter what network title it’s streaming under.
