Stream It This Week: TV Premieres June 8–14, 2026

It’s a slow week for TV as we head into the summer, but I’ve managed to scrape together a handful of new shows and movies premiering this week. I’d also recommend Spider-Noir on Prime Video, which debuted a couple of weeks ago. Prime Video gives you the option of streaming the 1930s-set, street-level superhero series in color or black & white—I say go for the color version, because the hues pop even more spectacularly than Nicholas Cage’s bug-eyed performance.

Alice & Steve (Hulu) New series: Sex Education writer Sophie Goodhart’s Alice & Steve topped this year’s Canneseries (the TV counterpart to the Cannes Film Festival), and now the British “anti-rom-com” makes its US debut. Alice (Nicola Walker) and Steve’s (Jemaine Clement) longtime BFF-ship becomes strained when Steve begins dating Alice’s 26-year-old daughter, Izzy (Yali Topol Margalith). To be fair, Alice did tell Steve, “Anybody would be lucky to have you,” so it’s not all on him. All six episodes stream on June 8. Alice & Steve trailer

Crashers (HGTV, HBO Max) New reality series: Surprised homeowners are “treated” to a 72-hour home renovation by Farmhouse Fixer star and ex-New Kid on the Block Jonathan Knight. Also, the homeowners can’t choose their new house design or a different boy band singer to hang out with for three days.

Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show (Hulu) Special: For the first time, Sports Illustrated and Hulu partner to present the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway Show for couch-bound streamers who were too broke or homely to attend the Miami show in person last month. Outlast: The Jungle (Netflix) Season 3 premiere: Sixteen contestants sorted into teams battle the elements and each other on a remote tropical island to win a $1 million prize. So .. it’s Survivor? Not exactly: The only rule of Outlast is that players must remain part of a team in order to win; the last team of two or more takes the prize. The first two seasons of Outlast took place in the frozen climes of Alaska, but The Jungle was filmed in Panama (or as David Lee Roth would say, “Pan-a-ma-ha-oh-oh-oh-oh!” Outlast: The Jungle trailer

Surviving Earth (NBC, Peacock) New docuseries: According to NBC, the new CGI-enhanced docuseries Surviving Earth “Takes viewers back 450 million years in the past … Over the course of eight episodes, Surviving Earth breaks down how Earth survived history’s most catastrophic environmental crises and continues to thrive today.” First of all, 450 million years? Good luck selling that to the Bible-thumpers. Secondly, continues to thrive today? The environmentalist crowd would beg to differ. The Listeners (Starz) New series: English teacher Claire (Rebecca Hall) and her teen student Kyle (Olle West) investigate a mysterious, low humming noise that only they can hear (it also causes migraines and nosebleeds, so they’re pretty invested). The Listeners is based on Jordan Tannahill’s 2021 novel of the same name, and the five-episode series previously aired in the UK in 2024. The Polygamist (Netflix) New series: No, it’s not another docuseries about a Mormon cult leader: The Polygamist is an over-the-top African drama about a social media influencer dealing with the fallout of her cheating husband’s infidelity. My Adventures With Superman (Adult Swim, HBO Max) Season 3 premiere: When it premiered in 2023, the animated My Adventures With Superman was hailed as a welcome throwback to the Man of Steel’s earnest comic-book roots—this was before DC’s throwback-y 2025 Superman movie, of course. Superman/Clark Kent (voiced by The Boys’ Jack Quaid), Lois Lane (Alice Lee), and Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid) will be dealing with Cyborg Superman this season, and Superboy and Jessica Cruz/Green Lantern are also in the mix. UFC at the White House (Paramount+) Special: To accompany the AI fever dream crowd pictured above, Paramount+ says, “Stream Freedom 250 … The world’s greatest fighters on America’s biggest stage.” As of this writing, I’d say: UFC at the White House will be canceled outright due to inclement weather, toxic politics, cultural backlash, and Idiocracy copyright claims, among many other reasons, or it’s going to go on as an even sadder spectacle than last year’s military parade for Trumpy the Clown’s 79th birthday.
