Hi Friend -
This week has been an absolute whirlwind. We have family who flew in and it’s their first trip to Michigan, so we’re showing them around our beautiful new state. It’s fun to show off spring in SE Michigan because the flowers are out and everything is green again.
I hope your week has been warm and joyful! Let’s get in to the good stuff.
Rock shops. I just really like rocks.
Adding charms to everything.
Picking out little gifties for friends.
Blog & Pod!
I feel like my summer sabbatical has already started because I haven’t made a new piece of long-form writing or yapping for weeks. I want to get back to it, but for now, here a few from the archives for you to check out:
I’ve still got the Small Business Archive, too!
Curlworks- I love their Birds n’ Bugs T-Shirt AND all the profits go to the National Center for Gender Health!
Sunfairy Studio - How stunning is this holographic sticker?! The colors!!
Rather Keen - Andrew does it again, y’all. What a perfect bookish pin!!
Kait Makes - I am obsessed with this library card tote! She custom chain stitches the author and title for you!!
Voluptuary - It’s a mug that looks like soft serve ice cream!!!
April Leigh - This handmade necklace is just so pretty. And it comes in so many different color choices on the website!
I’ve officially reached day 90 in The 100 Day Project and I don’t even know how to feel! I’ll have to do a recap podcast or something because it’s a big deal for me to see this thing through!
Also, don’t forget about Snart if you’re looking for some crafty ideas!
Current Reads!
A Prayer for the Crown Shy by Becky Chambers (hardcover) - I’m reading this one in very small doses at bed time. The first big problem has arisen and I had to put it down because it was too upsetting in the moment. I’m not in a place where I can handle anything bad happening to either of the main characters!
Mate by Ali Hazelwood (audiobook via Libby) - I mean, I had to finish this duology. So far, it’s like a grumpy/sunshine trope, but he’s grumpy and she’s just had a horribly sad life and I need someone to take care of her immediately omg.
*Book links are affiliates where I get a small portion of the sale and it helps to support The Fox and the Feather, my favorite woman-owned, indie bookshop near me!
This Week!
We went to Bronner’s this week because I obviously have to show off the world’s largest Christmas store to family who have never been to Michigan. It’s a priority. Also, I should’ve gotten those little bulbous trees.
The second photo is an older one from Bronner’s, but I couldn’t help myself.
We saw this in the Pokemon card section of a Meijer and I’m just so sad for the kids, casual collectors and TCG players because this scalping stuff has gotten way out of hand!
We went to Book Off (a Japanese second hand book/game/dvd/etc store!) and Teso Life (a Japanese department store!) last weekend and had the best time!!
Ok! That’s the weekly update! Thank you for making it all the way down here and reading this at all. You are the sweetest and I can’t thank you enough for being a part of my little internet footprint.
K, love you, byeeee!
♡ Becky
