The Beyar Sisters · The Beyar Sisters

When we came off of hormonal birth control after a decade, were struggle-bussing (a colossal understatement) with our own hormone and cycle issues.

It was some of our darkest times.

It’s hard to believe it now, but back then no one was giving masterclasses on women’s health. No one was openly sharing their tips on social media. No one one was recording podcasts about their cycle health experiences.

If you wanted to learn about what you were going through, you had to go hunting for the information yourself by reading books.

Books rescued us!

We spent HOURS highlighting pages, dog-earing key chapters, scribbling notes in the margins, and slowly piecing together answers.

Needless to say, our libraries are broken in & weathereddddd. LOL.

Books made us feel seen when no doctor would acknowledge what we were doing through. They gave us the guidance to dig deeper, find the root cause of our issues, and taught us more than any health class ever did. What we learned made us feel EMPOWERED instead of defeated.

Books genuinely changed the trajectory of our lives and we’re forever thankful.

And here’s what still blows our minds…. all of that life-changing education, epiphanies, and guidance came from a $10-20 book. We are SO lucky to have this much information at our fingertips anytime we want it.

Below, we give our personal recs across different categories: cycle & hormone health, coming off birth control, fertility & TTC, pregnancy & postpartum, common hormone diagnoses, perimenopause, menopause, spirituality and intuition, and cookbooks. More to come!

And like we always say: you don’t have to agree with every single passage that you read. But if you can keep an open mind and walk away with even ONE life-changing takeaway for your health, it was 100% worth your time!
