Channeling: What is it? What mistakes are people making?

Did you know you can channel extraterrestrials, faeries, angels, dragons, and many other beings? Your ancestors, gods, any of the conscious energy of the universe… even rocks?

This is a state of consciousness where a human brings through the energy of another consciousness, often through speech, that gives the energy the ability to speak to others around them, deliver messages, and interact with the human world.

In my experience, channeling goes beyond this. It is something that allows us to share energy. That’s the simple explanation, but let’s go a bit deeper.

What is channeling?

I’m in a constant state of channel. What that means is I’m always connected energetically to everything around me. It’s the reason I have so much trouble integrating with our human civilization. My conscious energy is always and has always been turned on. I see things, feel things, hear things, know things, and far more before anyone else… which makes me the odd one out in most cases.

We’ve bastardized the label of “channel” to mean very distinct things when all it really means is to connect with energy. It doesn’t mean you have to sit in a chair in front of an audience like famous channels with their eyes closed and hands folded. It doesn’t mean you have to be in a meditative state in lotus pose. It doesn’t mean you have to share your body with the energy of something or someone else at all.

It simply means that you are connecting with energy and translating that energy in your experience.

We’ve created a label that has distinct meanings…

Channeling a being.

Channeling healing energy.

Channeling light language.

Channeling the future.

When all it means is that we are connecting with some expression of energy and translating it through our conscious energy.

From spirit, if we think of the energy field as technology…

Channeling is the expression of energy moving through your energetic circuitry to create a desired result.

That’s it.

Healing energy can be channeled through you. The consciousness of other beings can be channeled. Timelines and more can be brought through your energetic circuitry.

We’re just bringing through energy that allows us to do something with purpose. Typically, in the spiritual community, that relates to healing and channeling the consciousness of other beings.

A few problems arise with this ability.

The first is with the young student, the padawan of the spiritual journey if I were to use Star Wars nomenclature.

The padawans are young channels, students

When people start out, they are the padawans, not the jedi. Yet, the padawans often feel they are in a great source of power and experience because they can suddenly speak to other energies.

These energies speak to them. They say things that resonate deeply. They guide in ways that may resonate deeply.

Yet, the padawan is not a master of understanding energy and the flow of the universe. They are not a master of experiencing the balance of the force. The dark side often calls and lures them into temptation.

Time and again, I see people turn on their ability to channel and the ego gets involved in a way that creates disaster.

They think they do not need to cleanse their vessel, set intentions, or work on the mastering of the energetic field to ensure the strength of that field.

There is a time when mastery allows one to just “be” cleansed and in a high state of intention and energetic strength through the building of their life experience, just like a jedi in mastery of their experience, but padawans must build towards this.

Young channels often indulge in drugs, alcohol, varied sexual exchanges, toxic foods, while surrounding themselves with individuals who are not aligned to a positive experience. This and more all affects the energy field. The energy field is magnetic. It’s a force. It’s an energy that can be in great expansive flow or in the case of young channels, often be a trickle of water, the force so to speak.

Because they have never experienced any water, their life having been a dried up desert, a trickle of water seems like a flood of life, an ocean of depth, that fills the squeezed, tight, tiny well of holding in their energy field which makes their ego think they are full of life and a master of their river… a river that is not much more than a trickle.

These padawans, these young spiritual channels, have mastery to perform. They need to understand they are a student, not a master. They need to understand they have lessons to learn, knowledge to gain, and wisdom to gain from the only thing that wisdom comes from—actual experience.

Wisdom is undervalued

Wisdom is undervalued in a world where social media puts channels, specifically those speaking to other beings, on pedestals. The truth is that only experience brings great wisdom. We have to travel the path, or I should say a path of some kind, to gain the wisdom that provides mastery through experience.

When an energy field is weak, people are lacking mastery in their expansion. When it is small, they feel “full” of energy like the channel is flowing when in fact, that’s just because their river never held water to begin with. It’s a small channel in the river, a tiny crick forming that will widen and deepen to hold more water over time—more energy will flow, more of the force. More mastery of the terrain, experience with the curves, rapids, waterfalls, and other challenges as it flows through the lands.

Lacking a powerful energy field, many channels need to set strong intentions and create protective energetic practices, what some might call rituals, to ensure they are only working with energy of the highest good.

Yet those padawans… and their egos…

I’ve had many tell me I’m wrong when I’ve been doing this for a lifetime.

The thing is… if they don’t want to listen to someone in mastery of their experience—not calling myself a “master” as I believe we’re all at different stages of the journey, learning every day, gaining more wisdom, with no destination in sight—but having more mastery than the padawan… if someone doesn’t want to listen… they’ll learn the hard way.

Padawans learn the hard way

Many will say, “I don’t understand why all of these negative things are happening. What is going on?”

Drugs, alcohol, toxicity in the environment and body, even the mindset, are all a factor to magnetizing loving experience or non-loving experience—to creating a loving, magnetizing reality of love.

Yet those padawans will still say, “Oh, no. That’s not it. I can drink and be around alcohol. I can do this. I can do that.”

Sure.

They can.

Go for it.

It’s not my journey.

What do I know? It’s not just me saying it. It’s the universe, source, god, the beings and ancestors all around us saying, “Don’t drink alcohol if you want to experience something else.”

That’s a simple example as alcohol is called “spirits” for a reason. Channels can channel with toxicity in their system. I did it for a long time too.

What happens when we clear toxicity?

The river flows. Beings and energies who are not in alignment with the river can’t step in and guide the river. There is so much flow, so much force that they get washed away, thrown back on shore. So they don’t even approach.

Only the energies with the strength to handle the river are able to access it.

When more water is flowing, more energy, more strength, capacity to hold energy, abundance, ease, love, and other aspects of energy are able to flow through a person. The most powerful individuals will be and are those with the most cleansed experiences. Fill a river with sludge and mud and it’s not going to move cleanly. It’s going to slow down, destroy things, and not be clear in the visibility of what is inside.

So you can also have a channel with a river of energy but a muddy, sludge filled, sluggish river flooding the countryside instead of moving downstream. A river they can’t see inside, guide, and truly understand.

Toxicity fills the experience and affects the channel. The beings and energies who are not of the highest good will be able to enter that poisoned, slow-moving energetic experience without getting washed away.

This is why we talk so much about toxicity of the environment, body, mind, emotions, spiritual, and energetic experiences. Toxicity, no matter how much water the channel can hold, affects the experience of the water turning it from a clean, clear force of love into a muddy, sluggish force of lower frequency experiences.

The channel is still on. Beings are still speaking.

Just not those attracted to crisp, clean water.

Padawans are propped on pedestals

As egos tend to go, padawans think their channels are the ultimate truth while in this stage of the river being a muddy trickle. Social media props them on pedestals. People, those without connection, seek them for advice because of the pedestal affect, power placed outside of self, while not understanding the power is within.

There is a reason I haven’t shared channels, like those where I swap consciousness, in public forums like social media. People see the channeled being and not the human. They start to almost worship and have cult-like devotion to those beings. My team and I are not to be worshipped. We’ll knock that pedestal over and the person watching will get hit by it so they wake up.

We only just started sharing channels for paid subscribers where we know the people participating are doing the work, engaging their energy, and actively understanding the power and respect of the journey.

Channeling isn’t a parlor trick. There are energetic rules to follow. Things must be done out of love. People can’t be forced to do things because someone channeled it. We have to ensure free-will is not interrupted, karmic lessons that were chosen are not disrupted, and more as we guide people with our energy experiences.

Many padawans use channeling as a parlor trick to gain attention.

“Look at what I can do,” mentalities take over the community rather than understanding the need for mastery of the system, cleansing of the experience, and understanding of how to navigate the river they are expanding into.

The thing is, use it as a parlor trick, and there will be repercussions.

People will say that you never lose your spirit guides. That’s not true. They have choice too. To think otherwise is human-centric, egoic nonsense that makes people feel special. This is the religious thinking that humans are God’s creation and that it is only humans that are favored in creation.

Guides can walk away from the experience. They have free-will choice. They sign up to teach provided we fulfill the lessons. A teacher doesn’t have to teach a student. If the student refuses to learn, the teacher can walk out the door.

The thing about spirit guides, most are dedicated to your experience. Many are friends and family helping you on your journey after knowing you in other times and spaces. Some are strangers that stopped by to teach a lesson.

Using a channel as a parlor trick, or in more immoral ways like active manipulation, will often lead to the loss of connection. It doesn’t mean the channel closes. That’s what people think, but that’s not what it means.

It means that the beings and energies simply walk away. The channel goes quiet. Nobody is around.

Now let’s be clear…

Just because a channel goes quiet doesn’t mean it’s closed off and the energies are upset. Sometimes it goes quiet for other reasons. We’re talking about young channels who use their experience for attention, fame, money, or other manipulative practices that go against the loving vibrational morality of many of the energies that are benevolent.

In those case, those beings can walk away and choose if they ever come back.

In other cases, people may be entering worlds through astral travel or psychedelics and abuse it out of an egoic need to do whatever they want.

Energy is frequency.

Frequencies can be blocked.

Your frequency is unique. A unique signature in the universe.

We can be blocked from accessing other places, times, dimensions, telepathic connections and more if we abuse the experience. This is something we’re seeing reported on social media as people are confused about getting “thrown out” of realms, planets, and connections when the truth is easy to see… they were abusing the connection for their egoic fulfillment rather than honoring and respecting the relationship with the energies involved.

Channeling requires detachment, honor, respect

Channeling requires a detached mindset without ego to allow the river to flow freely with pure water—the highest spaces of loving vibrational energies that are clean and clear of distortion.

That requires mastery of self, mastery of ego, mastery of toxicity in the systems to develop that river.

As the river develops, many channels see the future of the river. They see the turns, the twists, and more. What they don’t understand is that often the future is not the timeline they or the entire collective is meant to experience. Just because it looks like the river will turn one way doesn’t mean it will do that when the water gets there. Sometimes it’s not even meant to be in the awareness of anyone but the person experiencing what we might call time travel and prophecy.

The padawan ego gets involved and tells the world, not realizing it wasn’t for the world. It was for them. Many timelines exist, collective and personal. Fear permeates a lot of future telling that occurs in the spiritual community when they don’t understand that those timeline expressions are methods of control. Their fear of an outcome gets them to promote that timeline out of the fear of it occurring.

With enough collective focus on the energy of a fearful outcome, the fearful outcome is created. That’s simple energetic physics of creation.

What you focus on, you get.

So many padawans are in a space of navigating the understanding they can see the future as they channel energy through their experience. That doesn’t mean it’s the future for everyone or even for them. A great deal of wise discretion is needed when it comes to predictions as the padawan could be falling for the dark side that is trying to control and manipulate timeline outcomes.

Then there is the question of what is being channeled.

Who or what is the padawan channeling?

Is the person channeling their own energy? Are they channeling another being? Are they channeling source? Are they channeling the collective consciousness?

The times I’ve heard, “I talk to my guides, but I have no idea who they are,” are instant red flags.

In most cases, these are young channels performing services while not understanding they aren’t masters. If we can’t know who we are working with, we should not be energetically doing that work on others where we affect their energy system and potentially life choices, free-will experiences.

It’s very important that people learn how to identify the energy they are working with, why it is around, and the purpose. The river is flowing yet beings can come and create havoc if they choose to dam the river, pour toxins inside, and pollute in a variety of ways. If we don’t understand who and what we are working with, we won’t understand if the river is being polluted or not. Which means, when someone else comes to drink from the river—a client, for example, coming for a reading—we need to make sure they are drinking clean, pure water, not toxic sludge.

As one masters channeling, the awareness of what the energy is becomes even more important. Saying things like, “I talk to my guides, but I don’t know who they are,” is a dangerous game for those claiming they are in mastery.

For one, how do you know they are your guides? Two, how do you know they are beings and not your own energy system feeding back on itself or the collective consciousness feeding information?

As a padawan, you won’t know.

As a padawan, you won’t know. That’s the point of this article. Padawans don’t understand they are in spaces that are not of mastery. The ego takes over.

A true student doesn’t laugh off the idea that they don’t know who they are talking to. They start asking, “How do I find out who I am talking to? How do I ensure I am talking to or channeling energy of the highest experience?”

Practice.

It’s why I encourage everyone to practice long before they create a clientele. Just because Reiki gave someone a certification in energy healing doesn’t mean they are ready to be an energy healer. Anyone can get a certification in a few days depending on the teacher. The course isn’t very hard. Each teacher is different. Some teach the levels over a week, some a few months. Either way, boom! You’re certified.

Human certification is a commercial experience that enables padawans and fuels their ego when what they really need is mastery, wisdom, practice of the craft and experience of healing before ever working with direct clientele.

Our spiritual community is full of padawan leaders, self-proclaimed masters who are at the very beginnings of their journey, barely stepping out the door and walking down the road—and I feel it’s primarily due to social media and Western commercialism.

The question is, are you walking down the road, practicing, taking the journey, or are you standing by the door with a pedestal, a microphone, and a speaker calling people to you as loud as you can rather than going down the road, carrying a shovel, and finding out where you will dig your channel, your river, so you can build it out, fill it with water, and master the current?

Here’s the cool thing overlooked by most channels.

We use the river analogy as a way of explaining the energy to those who are just starting.

A channel really isn’t a river because a river flows one-way. That’s just a good analogy for the toxicity, purity, and experience of the energy as someone starts out.

A channel is two-way.

What people don’t realize is that if you can channel and master the river moving in one direction, you can change the direction of the river and become the energy being channeled.

This is far more complex than this article is meant to handle. It leads into multidimensionality, shared consciousness, and folding space time among other things.

The point is, if you become a master you can channel energy through your system, channeling a being, an extraterrestrial, faery, angel, or other expression of consciousness…

They can do the same with you.

That’s where things get really interesting.

Overall, respect your energetic experience enough to understand when you are a padawan and when you are a master with the knowing a master is never done, continuing to learn, expand, and master new experiences, new energies, new wisdoms that come as they quietly walk their journey rather than standing by a door shouting to everyone that they know everything.
