Being a professional people-pleaser, I tend to boil everything down to the details and quality of relationship.

Whether I’m talking to someone about their relationship to food or sleep, their romantic relationship, or their parent-child relationship, the same thing applies: ease and vitality come from understanding who or what you’re relating to.

How to relate to sugar? Understand what it does in your body and what your body’s unique needs are.

How to relate to a loved one? Understand their conflict style and what each of you needs to feel loved and when stressed.

How to relate to your kids? Understand that they’re not miniature versions of you. Know their unique needs, as well as your own.

Astrology is incredibly practical, not just mystical. It’s actually more practical and common-sense than anything else I know of. Come to think of it, I don’t understand HOW people raise children or have healthy relationships with anyone without astrology! I mean that. Your child’s chart shows you how they process emotion (Moon territory), what feels safe vs. threatening, and how they come back to balance after conflict or stress. And that’s just a little of what you can see and understand.

Example: a Sagittarius Moon kid who gets confined during a meltdown might simply explode more. They probably need to move, not sit. A Cancer Moon kid needs closeness and quiet time to regulate their nervous system. An Aquarius Moon kid needs space to think before they can talk, and the permission to be weird!

Astrology helped me most in understanding our daughter did not at all have the same nervous system as I have.

In the spirit of helping you parents out there, I’m offering free 15-minute readings where we look at some fundamental patterns in your child’s chart: Click here for your child’s mini-reading
