What if eggs could be created from skin cells? What if we could solve infertility?
Join us for an exclusive conversation with Dr. Paula Amato, Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology at the OHSU School of Medicine and immediate past-president of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, to explore in vitro gametogenesis (IVG) - one of the next frontiers in ReproTech.
📆 Date: Thursday, November 20, 2025
⏰ Time: 9:00 PM PT | 12:00 PM ET | 6:00 PM CET
📍 Location: Online webinar
We’ll dive into:
What “in vitro gametogenesis” (IVG) is
Her team’s recent paper and what the latest findings reveal
The science of IVG: where we are today and what still needs to be achieved
The ethical and societal implications of creating eggs and sperm from somatic cells
What the future of fertility could look like in the next decade
There will be an opportunity for an audience Q&A at the end.
This is a rare chance to meet the scientist at the forefront of shaping reproductive medicine and the future of fertility.
Our friends at Herasight, who are doing some incredible work on polygenic risk scoring for future parents, just launched their IVF Calculator. “The world’s best IVF calculator” is based on data from over 500,000 cycles across each stage of IVF.
Check out and try the calculator yourself.👇
Thank you to everyone who joined us for The State of Women’s Health Innovation in 2025, hosted by FutureFemHealth and Women’s Health Horizons.
The panel brought together leading voices shaping the future of women’s health:
Anna O’Sullivan: Founder, FutureFemHealth
Dr. Lara Zibners: Co-Founder, Calla Lily Clinical Care
Dr. Sophie Yen: Co-Founder and CEO, Pandia Health
Laura Minquini: Founder, AthenaDAO
Moderator: Ashleigh Niziol, Women’s Health Horizons
Over 60 minutes, our discussion spanned some of the most pressing opportunities and barriers in the field:
Alternative investment streams for women’s health innovation
META restrictions, unbiased AI, and creative ways to reach consumers
Looking beyond “bikini medicine”: women’s health is more than fertility
The rise of menopause and longevity as core health priorities
Responsible use of data and hormone tracking
Censorship as an ongoing systemic barrier for women’s health startups

Join us for a fast-paced, hands-on women’s health hackathon. AthenaDAO is teaming up with HackAging.AI to launch a women’s longevity track at their upcoming Agentic AI Against Aging Hackathon in San Francisco.
You’ll form teams, brainstorm bold ideas, and pitch them in a rapid-fire competition. No spectators, only participants. Whether you’re a grad student, founder, or VC, you’ll be part of a team creating something new.
Registration deadline is this Sunday, 5 Oct at 11:59 PST.
📆 Date: Tuesday, October 7 - Saturday, October 25th
📍 Location: San Francisco (part of SF Tech Week)
Some of the biggest names in AI and longevity drug discovery will be judges as well as participants, including Dr. Peter Fedichev of Gero.AI (yes, the one that we are partnered with and recently inked a deal with Roche’s Chugai). As well as Sam Altman-backed RetroBIO, who very recently announced their collaboration with OpenAI on using GPT-4b for protein engineering of reprogramming factors.
Needless to say, we are excited to be part of this exciting event designing the women’s longevity stream. LifeAhead - the menopause forecast tool - is also coming on board to advise and guide on challenges for ovarian aging data sets.
We’ll explore:
Personalized MHT Agent: Matching therapies with explainable AI decision-support.
Early Risk Screeners: Multimodal detection for osteoporosis, CVD, and AD risk post-menopause.
Economic Impact of Menopause: Quantifying health, productivity, and workforce outcomes
Personalized Milestone Models: Better predictions of menopausal transitions
Please note that Gero.AI and RetroBio will be looking for talent. If ML, data science, computational biology, or longevity is one of your specialties, this is a massive opportunity.
On the other side of the ocean, we are also participating as judges and mentors for a 36-hour intensive hackathon targeting the two biggest challenges in women’s health: the healthspan gap and reproductive aging crisis.
Women don’t just live longer - they age completely differently. The hackathon, taking place in London, has four tracks:
Healthspan Gap Solutions
Reproductive Longevity
Cross-Track Innovation
Implementation & Access
The objective is to have potential new companies being created!
