Earthquake & Incident Watch: 11-21 August 2026 (limited)

Other points to remember:

(1) This period is likely to see major malefic incidents in the world. Troubles for leaders and lawyers also may be strong, and the period may see strong conflicts and incidents of powerplay. Some major leader(s) could die, or power could change hands in some places.

Note that 11-13 August are, in particular, highly malefic dates, particularly for accidents, conflicts and violence, as I have said earlier. 15 August may see high earthquake activity.

(2) For a detailed overview of the month of August 2026, about the kind of events that are likely to happen on particular dates, and the specific countries and regions of the world, in general, that need extra attention, see my August 2026 “global horoscope.”

(3) Throughout this summer at least, I will be looking at only a few areas. This prediction looks at Japan, China, Myanmar, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Afghanistan area. Of course, sometimes some bordering or nearby countries may also find a mention.

A few other prediction lines are also given from rest of the world. For any lines in the Western Hemisphere, 12-21 August 2026 can be taken as the period of prediction.

(4) Several parts of Japan are likely to see very heavy rainfall/storms, especially Hokkaido-Sea of Japan area. Hokkaido-Aomori area could see M6.0+ quake. Kobe-Osaka-Wakayama area is likely to see M5.5+ quake. Heavy rains also likely. Major accidents and other malefic incidents, of course, also likely in Japan, including in wider Tokyo area, during this period. Travellers, if heading to Japan in this period, should be careful: the region looks highly incident-prone.

(5)Xinjiang is likely to see high earthquake activity. The eastern Chinese coastline is likely to receive very heavy rains. Earthquakes are highly likely to continue in Yibin area of Sichuan, though they are likely to be light to moderate only. Beijing-Shanxi-Hebei area is likely to see quake activity, troubles for authorities or those in high position and other malefic incidents. Western Tibet-Nepal border area is likely to see earthquake activity.

(6) Southern-southeastern India is likely to see notable malefic incidents and/or quakes. Gujarat-Maharashtra area is likely to continue seeing earthquakes and/or notable malefic incidents.

And now below is the next set of predictions, with only some areas of the world seen.

Most prediction lines given below are for M5.0+ quakes (magnitude 5.0 and higher). However, there may still be some that remain within the M3.0-M5.0 range.

Note: Sometimes, earthquake indications on the chart may be rather about other forms of earth disturbances such as volcanic activity, rockfall, avalanche, mudflow, landslide or ground subsidence. They could also be about “non-natural” forms of falls of structures: for example, the collapse of a bridge, an industrial accident in which a big piece of equipment falls down, a plane crash, or a building or mine collapse. Astrologically, they are all one category. So when I say earthquake, the complete category is meant. Please always bear this in mind.

Earthquakes are predicted near the following imaginary lines (within 250 km, but mostly much closer; however, as I am not publishing all the lines, distances may appear larger—see this post). You may extrapolate all lines further at both their ends (especially for accidents and malefic incidents other than quakes). If a high magnitude is predicted for a particular region, then that high magnitude applies to all prediction lines when passing through that region, even if I have not mentioned any magnitude or mentioned a lower magnitude for the other lines. Also, when many lines are close by, it is not necessary that there would be an earthquake for each of those lines; in addition, I may not repeatedly show the same area when several lines are close. However, the concentration of many lines in an area could indicate that that area may see strongly malefic incidents.

- Straight line running through 18°00′N, 143°52′E (west off Pagan, Northern Mariana Islands). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 40°00′N, 142°55′E (off Fudai 普代村, Shimohei District, Iwate, Japan). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 36°30′N, 140°03′E (near Moka, Tochigi, Japan). Copious rainfall, troubles to women or the young or to those in art, fashion or luxury sectors, or troubles for the wealthy, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

- Line between 43°30′N, 139°39′E (northwest of Kamoenai 神恵内村, Furu District, Hokkaido, Japan) and 40°00′N, 142°15′E (off Fudai 普代村, Shimohei District, Iwate, Japan). This is a very strongly malefic line, especially the Hokkaido-Aomori area of the line, and earthquake magnitude near the line could cross 6.0. Extremely heavy rain could also occur in the prediction section shown. Notable accidents or incidents involving fire, firearms or explosions, troubles for travellers, network outages (power, IT, water, etc.), storms or strong winds, and troubles to authorities or those in high positions also possible near this line.

- Straight line running through 34°06′N, 138°22′E (south off Shizuoka, Japan). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 34°06′N, 135°28′E (near Aridagawa, Wakayama, Japan). Notable accidents, strong violence, major incidents of fires or explosions or involving firearms, troubles for soldiers or surgeons, or strong precipitation or storms also likely near this line.

- Straight line running through 35°00′N, 133°48′E (near Misaki, Okayama, Japan). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

When extended north, the line goes through the Khabarovsk-Heilongjiang border area of Russia-China:

- Straight line running through 40°00′N, 130°54′E (off Tanchŏn 단천시, South Hamgyong, North Korea). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Line between 45°00′N, 125°43′E (near Wujiazhan Town, Songyuan, Jilin, China) and 34°00′N, 134°02′E (near Tsurugi, Tokushima, Japan). Notable accidents, landslides or collapses of structures, violence, incidents that bring casualties, troubles for labourers/blue collar workers or for the old or poor, troubles for the very wealthy, troubles for politicians, religious people, state ministers and bureaucrats, or strong precipitation also likely near this line.

- Line between 30°11′N, 124°30′E (southeast off Shanghai, China) and 27°00′N, 126°21′E (northwest off Kumejima, Shimajiri District, Okinawa, Japan). Notable accidents (especially involving aircraft or watercraft), incidents of drowning, incidents of shooting, terrorism or violence in general, troubles for the young, copious rains and notable instances of deception or fraud also could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 35°00′N, 121°17′E (off Haizhou Bay, China). This is a highly malefic line. Notable accidents, landslides or collapses of structures, violence, incidents that bring casualties, troubles for labourers/blue collar workers or for the old or poor, troubles for the very wealthy, troubles for politicians, religious people, state ministers and bureaucrats, or strong precipitation also likely near this line.

When extended south, the Wenzhou-Fuzhou-Taipei area of the line looks highly malefic as well, in particular for heavy rains:

- Straight line running through 39°12′N, 118°52′E (near Matouying Town, Laoting County, Tangshan, Hebei, China). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line.

- Straight line running through 29°06′N, 116°09′E (near Changyixiang, Xinjian District, Nanchang, Jiangxi, China). I am not very sure if this prediction line would be active. If yes, then very strongly malefic incidents, troubles to those in high positions and incidents bringing casualties could occur near it.

When extended north, the line passes very close by China’s capital, Beijing (not shown). One of the most malefic sections of this line is the wider area around Liaocheng (Shandong, China), and heavy rain is also likely in this section:

- Line between 40°23′N, 112°01′E (near Heilaoyaoxiang, Horinger, Hohhot, Inner Mongolia, China) and 36°23′N, 115°01′E (near Wei County, Handan, Handan, Hebei, China). Notable accidents, strong violence, major incidents of fires or explosions or involving firearms, troubles for soldiers or surgeons, or strong precipitation or storms also likely near this line.

- Straight line running through 33°00′N, 111°47′E (near Chengguan Town, Neixiang County, Nanyang, Henan, China). Notable accidents or incidents involving fire, firearms or explosions, troubles for travellers, network outages (power, IT, water, etc.), storms or strong winds, and troubles to authorities or those in high positions also possible near this line.

- Straight line running through 35°23′N, 111°23′E (near Wenxi County, Yuncheng, Shanxi, China). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line. The prediction section shown here looks quite malefic:

- Line between 43°30′N, 111°20′E (southeast of Sayhan Hobor Hiid, Dornogovi, Mongolia) and 39°12′N, 114°55′E (near Ganhejingxiang, Yi County, Hebei, Baoding, Hebei, China). Notable accidents, strong violence, major incidents of fires or explosions or involving firearms, troubles for soldiers or surgeons, or strong precipitation or storms also likely near this line. This is a strongly malefic line, especially the Mongolia-Inner Mongolia area of the line:

- Straight line running through 16°00′N, 105°35′E (near Ban Na Seuk, Savannakhet, Laos). Noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line. This is a very highly malefic prediction section:

When extended north, the line passes close by Yibin (Sichuan, China), which has lately been experiencing several earthquakes, and readers have reported there was even a fatality and some injuries lately as a result of quakes, which have been light to moderate:

When extended further north, the Inner Mongolia-Ningxia section of the line looks somewhat malefic:

When extended further north, the line passes close by Ulaanbaatar, the capital of Mongolia, and this section looks highly malefic, especially for high precipitation or storms and notable accidents or landslides:

- Straight line running through 26°00′N, 97°04′E (near Naubum, Kachin, Myanmar). Noteworthy accidents, storms, network outages, strong violence, troubles to the young or other notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near this line. This is a very highly malefic line: major malefic incidents could occur near it. If it’s not an M6.0+ earthquake or strong landslide, then expect a strong storm, major accident, major violence, etc.

When extended north, the line passes through Haixi Mongol and Tibetan Autonomous Prefecture (Qinghai, China):

When extended south, the line passes through Aceh (Indonesia), and this section looks quite malefic:

- Line between 27°11′N, 87°00′E (north of Kot, Bhojpur District, Koshi Province, Nepal) and 19°00′N, 90°23′E (south off Kuakata, Barisal Division, Bangladesh). Notable accidents, troubles for children, the young, or students, troubles for travellers/tourists, pilots/sailors, mediapersons and diplomats, communication troubles, conflicts, and storms or strong winds also possible near this line.

When extended north, the same line can be described thus, with this being a highly malefic section: between 44°36′N, 77°20′E (near Kokpakhty, Kazakhstan) and 38°30′N, 81°17′E (near Takela Magan Shamo 塔克拉玛干沙漠, Lop County, Hotan Prefecture, Xinjiang, China).

- Straight line running through 27°23′N, 86°38′E (Salyan Solu, Koshi Province, Nepal). Troubles to religious or government authorities, nobles or those in high positions as well as notable issues presenting legal difficulties likely near this line.

When extended south, the line passes close by four important state capitals of India, namely Gangtok, Patna, Ranchi and Kolkata, as well as Nepal’s capital, Kathmandu:

- Line between 44°47′N, 85°24′E (near Yisansi Tuanchang Shisilian 一三四团场十四连, Shawan County, Tacheng Prefecture, Xinjiang, China) and 38°36′N, 90°01′E (near Yitun Bulake 伊吞不拉克, Ruoqiang County, Bayingolin Mongol Autonomous Prefecture, Xinjiang, China). This is a highly malefic line, with earthquake magnitude likely to cross 5.5. Notable accidents or incidents involving fire, firearms or explosions, troubles for travellers, network outages (power, IT, water, etc.), storms or strong winds, and troubles to authorities or those in high positions also possible near this line.

- Straight line running through 29°41′N, 82°05′E (near Photu, Karnali Province, Nepal). Notable accidents, troubles for children, the young, or students, troubles for travellers/tourists, pilots/sailors, mediapersons and diplomats, communication troubles, conflicts, and storms or strong winds also possible near this line.

When extended south, the southeastern Indian section of the line looks somewhat malefic as well:

- Straight line running through 35°00′N, 80°51′E (near Litian River 里田河, Rutog County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, China). Notable accidents, incidents of violence, troubles for the destitute, low temperatures, storms, troubles for waste processing or storage facilities, conflicts to gain power, notable criminal incidents, troubles for criminal networks and troubles for those in positions of power also likely in some sections of this line.

- Line between 34°00′N, 80°05′E (near Mikai 米开, Rutog County, Ngari Prefecture, Tibet, China) and 30°00′N, 81°56′E (near Thehe, Karnali Province, Nepal). Troubles to religious or government authorities, nobles or those in high positions as well as notable issues presenting legal difficulties likely near this line. Notable accidents, strong rains or landslides or other notable malefic incidents could also occur near this line, which is very highly malefic.

When extended north, the same line can be described thus: between 41°00′N, 76°23′E (southeast of Ozgorush, Naryn Region, Kyrgyzstan) and 38°30′N, 77°47′E (near Tuwen Kemu 突文柯木, Makit County, Kashgar Prefecture, Xinjiang, China).

- Line between 12°00′N, 78°35′E (near Karapadi, Tamil Nadu, India) and 7°42′N, 79°46′E (off Udappu, North Western Province, Sri Lanka). Troubles to religious or government authorities, nobles or those in high positions, violence as well as notable issues presenting legal difficulties likely near this line. Some areas near the line may also see moderate to very heavy rains, notably the Palk Strait-Gulf of Mannar area.

- Line between 20°00′N, 76°19′E (near Dusarbid, Maharashtra, India) and 15°24′N, 77°39′E (near Mukkela, Andhra Pradesh, India). Troubles to religious or government authorities, nobles or those in high positions as well as notable issues presenting legal difficulties likely near this line. Notable accidents, strong rains or landslides, incidents bringing casualties or other notable malefic incidents could also occur near this line, which is very highly malefic. The Andhra-Karnataka-northern Tamil Nadu area of the line, in particular, looks highly malefic:

When extended north, Pakistan’s capital, Islamabad, will lie close to the line (not shown).

- Straight line running through 32°00′N, 71°14′E (near Shah Alam, Punjab, Pakistan). Notable accidents or incidents involving fire, firearms or explosions, troubles for travellers, network outages (power, IT, water, etc.), storms or strong winds, and troubles to authorities or those in high positions also possible near this line.

When extended south, the Gujarat (India) section of the line looks quite malefic:

- Line between 33°12′N, 68°37′E (near Mohammed-Nur Gara, Paktika, Afghanistan) and 26°00′N, 70°52′E (near Doodhora, Rajasthan, India). Notable accidents, troubles for children, the young, or students, troubles for travellers/tourists, pilots/sailors, mediapersons and diplomats, communication troubles, border conflicts, and storms or strong winds also possible near this line.

A few additional lines, which all look highly malefic; noteworthy accidents or notable malefic incidents, in addition to or instead of earthquakes, could occur near all the following lines:

- Line between 57°30′N, 162°33′E (north of Ust’-Kamchatsk, Kamchatka krai, Russia) and 53°00′N, 166°32′E (south of Nikol’skoe, Kamchatka krai, Russia).

- Line between 44°00′N, 21°51′E (near Podgorac, Serbia) and 38°00′N, 18°59′E (a point in the Ionian Sea).

- Straight line running through 11°41′N, 18°03′E (near Mont Banama, Guéra, Chad). Notable accidents, notable violence or incidents involving fire, firearms or explosions, troubles for travellers, network outages (power, IT, water, etc.), storms or strong winds, and troubles to authorities or those in high positions also possible near this line.

- Straight line running through 11°41′N, 82°55′W (off Monkey Point, South Caribbean Coast Autonomous Region, Nicaragua).

When extended north, the Florida-Cuba section of the line looks quite malefic:

Further north, the Hudson Bay-Ontario (Canada) section of the line looks somewhat malefic:

- Line between 40°12′N, 117°09′W (southwest of Battle Mountain, Nevada, USA) and 34°00′N, 118°08′W (near Commerce, California, USA). Notable accidents, landslides or collapses of structures, violence, incidents that bring casualties, troubles for labourers/blue collar workers or for the old or poor, troubles for the very wealthy, troubles for politicians, religious people, state ministers and bureaucrats, or strong precipitation also likely near this line.

- Straight line running through 43°00′N, 119°36′W (southeast of Wagontire, Oregon, USA). Notable accidents, landslides or collapses of structures, violence, incidents that bring casualties, troubles for labourers/blue collar workers or for the old or poor, troubles for the very wealthy, troubles for politicians, religious people, state ministers and bureaucrats, or strong precipitation also likely near this line.

When extended north to the Canada-USA border area, the line looks more malefic:

Note 2: Owing to lack of time, I am unable to look at every single prediction line in detail. I am publishing only those which look more prominent to me. It is possible that on some prediction line(s) that I have not chosen, a strong enough earthquake may take place, but I can only do my best with the time constraints possible. However, wherever a line is given, an earthquake or some other incident that can or does lead to fall of structures is highly likely to happen near it, unless weak probability is already noted.

Note 3: If a big earthquake has happened in a place, aftershocks may continue for days, weeks and even months. I predict the big (usually the first) earthquake, not always the aftershocks (unless they are also seen prominently on the charts, as does happen sometimes).

Note 4: The straight lines are an approximation of curved lines. As you go at extreme latitudes, the prediction lines will become more and more “flat,” given that the Earth’s curvature sharpens towards the Poles.
