As someone with many placements in Aries, these past few days felt brimming with pressure to understand what were the lessons we have been going through repeatedly since March/April of 2019, that’s when we had the very first Aries lunation with Chiron in the mix. These lessons have to do with our sense of self, our direction, with the history of self abandonment and with the consequences of habitual enmeshment with something/someone misaligned with our essence or our path. Chiron is the ultimate teacher, and it teaches by exposing the wound. As we approach final Aries lunation with Chiron, you need to be very honest with yourself about why stepping into your authentic path hurts so much, what do you believe will be forever lost if you do so, who could be lost, or more like what version of relating to the world could be lost. A lot of work is to be done in the Aries part of our charts in the years to come and to rebuild, to re-imagine we need to see clearly what was washed away, what was left naked and which primal need persisted through it all.

Just look at this Aries Stellium. It is a vision to behold!

I think a lot of us felt the emotional rollercoaster of the waning Moon in Pisces leading up to the New Moon in Aries. This transition is stripping us of the last bits of illusions about the state of affairs, both in our personal lives and in the collective realm. This is a significant lunation, and frankly I am tired of one after another significant transit, like many I yearn for a lighter and less punchy change. But the astrology of big collective overhauls is hard, it is hard on large systems, and it is really hard on us, individuals within these systems.

I want to acknowledge that we are stretched thin, and temperance is needed here, because we are at the very beginning of the journey of rebuilding. I want us to pause and sit with what could be on the other side of this sharpness and these transitions. I write this as Mars conjuncts Neptune in Aries, and I am allowing myself a moment of delusion about where a firm choice can lead us right now. If you could choose anything in this moment, knowing that this decision has the most significant consequences, what would that decision be? It doesn’t have to be grand, or it can be the grandest of all. It can be about a mental loop, a repeating pattern, taking risk, about your boundaries, too much or too little self restraint, maybe illusions, but what decision will have the most impact on your path right now. Allow the first thing that springs in your head to land safely somewhere, and do not be fooled by its initial smallness.

Every transition from Pisces to Aries moves a thread of time, these shifts are the most significant in relation to our understanding of time, of its unfathomable nature. We are in a timeline that is so demanding because the waiting period is over, and we are asked to start making moves. Ready or not, the time will be rolling forward and gaining speed with or without us. The mix of age of air with a strong fire presence is going to be putting new very different laws in place. If there is a liminal space, where veils are lifted or brought down it is within the passage from Pisces to Aries. This liminal space demands a level of blind faith and audacity. We are tasked with spirit mending on so many levels, this is not a time for rejecting the world, it is time to find your unique way into the world, find the crack that speak with you, and fill this crack with your essence.

This is the first Aries New Moon since Saturn and Neptune entered the sign. This is an opening chapter of a very long story, we cannot have all the answers right now and we shouldn’t strive to have them anyways. The most I would hope for us is to have enough clarity around just one thing that has to do with the Aries part of your chart, one non-negotiable step, one shift. It is Martian, it is about courage, it is about choice to cut the excess out. With Saturn next to the ruler of this lunation we really cannot afford any redundant habits, energy leaks, unnecessary moves and distractions. This much Aries energy, seven planets!!, is about working on our precision, perfecting our aim. Stop shooting arrows just to feel like you are doing something, do less, but be sharp. The lunation itself is largely un-aspected, meaning it is left to its own devices, a bit rogue. But its ruler Mars sits on the midpoint between Saturn and Neptune with Mercury. We initiate independently, but the tools we use are a bit unfamiliar and we need time to learn how to use them correctly.

With Love, Mariana
