I wrote the first version of this article about a year ago. Revised and expanded now and I hope you find my mercurial gymnastics a good introduction to the transit I waited for with the great anticipation. It is a pretty in depth exploration of Uranus in Gemini, I am very proud of the research I did on this transit. I find it fascinating and I am pretty confident most of the themes and events I write about below will be coming up strongly for us all in the next 7 years. If nothing else, read the bit for your Rising sign at the very end. Hope you can come back to this article for resonance as we move through this transit.
May is the last month for a while that I am going to be offering astrology consultations. The books are open.
Also, I’ll take 1 person for a bundle reading option ( 4 sessions throughout a year), please inquire at marianabalkar@gmail.com
Final words on Uranus in Taurus
With Uranus out of Taurus we can now start putting the puzzle pieces of the ruptures that happened since 2018. I want everyone to reflect on the following question. What is the thing you kept investing your energy in, persistently and in a very fixed manner knowing that you do not see yourself doing it long term? Some did invest correctly, but if you do not have that sense this is for you. Pushing just because that’s the only thing you are wired to connect stability to? It can be anything from an actual job, to an attitude, to relational dynamic, a place of residence, where you have become fixated not in a good way? The lesson for many is to let go of the path that we associated with abundance, that path could have never been manifested through sheer persistence. Uranus in Taurus was never meant to be about doing more, pushing insistently, it was about finding alignment in the places that are very unlikely and scary. The great thing that should have become clear with Uranus in Taurus is crystallization of the self as it is, not as we hoped or imagined it to be. It is a great point to enter Uranus in Gemini experiment, with a way more firm idea of the self and the willingness to experiment.
Now let’s move to Uranus in Gemini. Here below is the chart of the ingress.

Uranus in Gemini for Each Rising/Sun Sign
Intro
Uranus makes its final ingression in Gemini on Saturday, April 25th, 2026. We are in the vortex of changes, disruptions, opportunities, and the tone of this shift has to do with how you think, what skills you choose to prioritize and who surrounds you. Planets don’t stand still and their movement holds hope for change and angst for it all at the same time. But to have all the generational planets make ingressions one after another, is a sign of extraordinary collective changes, and Uranus is the last one to make a dent on our familiar reality. These planets all move the needle in our collective evolution, and Uranus is the one that riles us to move ahead in the most unexpected ways.
The outer planets will be forming two bisextiles by the mid of 2026, one of which will hold well into 2027. This astrology is a source of significant opportunities and breakthroughs for the next couple of years. The air around us is full of possibilities, and it will require a lot of self awareness and devotion to your principles to make the best out of this outer planet long standing bisextile. One thing people forget is that these energies are available to everyone, and make no mistake, the insatiable ones will ride this energy to further wreck havoc on the world, and only if we can dare to believe that we are capable of making a positive change in this rapidly moving reality we can collectively spiral upwards from this chaos. All those we resent and abhor will inevitably take the opportunity that is hanging in the air. They have the faith in themselves and all the greed to ride this wave. The uncomfortable truth about inequality is that the side that thinks they deserve it all and the side that struggles to feel worthy both contribute to the imbalance. And a lot of this can be flipped while the planet of upheaval is in the mutable, mercurial domain of Gemini. A lot of our issues come from the grip that our mind has over us, the narratives that loop deeply within, the thoughts that we confuse with the truth. The energies are here to take you places, but you have to make the move. Gemini is associated with effort after all.
Now let’s look at Uranus and its essence.
Uranus was discovered on March 13th, 1781 by William Herschel, though it ought to be noted that it had been observed for centuries prior but had not been recognized as a planet. It takes 84 years for Uranus to travel around the Sun, and that’s why we call it a generational planet. Its path through the signs spans several generations and marks collective changes. A generation with Uranus in Virgo will be very different in its approach to life than a generation with Uranus in Libra, for example. Uranus symbolizes innovation, rebellion, pursuit of freedom, an unconventional approach to the area of the chart it passes through both by transit and natally, revolution, unexpected insights, chaos, humanitarian ideals, and ideas of equality and social reforms. Uranus is always on the frontlines of these changes. It brings scientific and technological changes, the breakthroughs in quantum and nuclear physics, space travel and genetic engineering, modes of transportation (especially in Gemini). Our nervous systems and connection to the collective mind is also under the Uranus influence.
Uranus was assigned its characteristics according to the time of its discovery. And by the way, in 1781 when it was discovered, it was in the sign of Gemini. I’ll talk about it more below in the Uranus in Gemini section, but Uranus in Gemini is always involved in major world events, especially for the USA. Its discovery occurred during the American Revolutionary War, and the United States has its natal Uranus in Gemini (Uranus return is upon the USA and how the country defines freedom will change), also in the midst of the Industrial Revolution. Uranus rules electricity, air travel, space travel, and efficient machinery. It also rules distribution and web-like methods of organizing, internet and social media, nervous system and neural pathways in our body. Uranus is the conduit for intuition and insight that arrives rapidly. It is the inspiration and the knowledge that is hard to explain or pinpoint. The inspiration of Uranus is both exhilarating and destabilizing. That is why tending to your nervous system during major Uranus transits is so important. Uranus shows us that everything is connected through invisible networks.
We all have Uranus somewhere in the chart. That is where you are going to do things your way, where you revolt against convention and reject authority. And again, with Uranus it is important to know when to stop, because you might not realize when you become the very thing you revolt against. Uranus is where our unconscious mind breaks through to the surface under some serious pressure. It is often connected to collective unconscious bursts. Inventors, revolutionary figures, artists who bend familiar forms, the mad hatters, and those who do not fit the mold are all under Uranus. Uranus’s impact in the chart and in the collective can be only tempered by humility. My main observation is that you can see far and wide, you can make inventions and redefine societal norms, but none of that makes you God, and we would do well to stop glorifying those who didn’t know when to stop and who mistook divine downloads as proof of their divinity. Nothing is ours to hold too tightly, possessions, thoughts, ideas, people, even memories.
My unpopular opinion about Uranus is that the changes it brings are not always for the betterment of society. Sometimes they are just for the sake of insatiable progress and misunderstood ideas of advancement. Uranus can be very elitist. For example, we just had 7 years of Uranus in Taurus, and what we saw is an insatiable desire to expand the territories, more drilling of the land than ever, the unimaginable expansion and redistribution of wealth. Uranus is not an entirely benevolent player. Like everything else, it mirrors the current state of affairs in extreme ways. Uranus’s effect on us often shows up as an inability to stop, to actually see the big picture. Thinking about the mythology of Uranus, it is very much about not knowing your own limitations, having a God complex, believing that if you can do something, you should, until you are too far gone for redemption. In my mind, the only useful application of Uranus is engaging in redistribution of resources, and the whole progress, innovation, technology thing is an outcome of unfulfilled creative potential of the inner children of a few who are playing God in this temporary reality.
Uranus carries the information from the higher realms, and the grounded and safe body can receive that information. But an ungrounded body can receive a whole lot of confusion and restlessness, so ground down like your life depends on it. Uranus is a liberator for those who don’t go along with the status quo and who do not want to establish their own status quo. The way I see it, Uranus transits are some of the clearest tests of our collective state, for our readiness for equality and true humility. Uranus transit without humility can be the most destructive thing. Uranus vacillates on the spectrum of asserting individuality and wanting to bring collective changes to the masses, and that is a very difficult line to walk for most. Individual supremacy and collective liberation is a rarely seen combo that works.
Now let’s look at the home of Uranus for the next almost 7 years. Gemini is a mutable air sign, ruled by Mercury, and has a dual nature, one of the double bodied signs that is about transitions from one reality to another.
Gemini corresponds with communication, how we process information, skills, learning (like taking a class or course), languages, transportation, your local environment, your neighborhood, siblings and relatives, early childhood education (before high school), trade and marketing, writing and speaking, exchange of information, making agreements and negotiating, short-distance travel, dexterity, social media, and any form of passing on information. One of the key attributes and lessons of Gemini is learning when to shift gears and change direction or even a worldview. This archetype is all about pivoting when new information is available. The lessons are about lightness and fluidity. The core of this mutable energy is the experience of learning and continuously challenging what has been learned.
Gemini values the process of discovery. It is less interested in finding the truth and holding on to it. There is something of a devil’s advocate quality to this mercurial sign. The duality of a Gemini comes from the fact that they often change their stance, point of view, and direction with the arrival of new information and insight, often so quickly and unexpectedly that others cannot wrap their minds around the reasoning behind such shifts. But that is the nature of the swift and restless Gemini. The perceptions are so vivid that they do not hesitate to make decisions based on them.
Learning how to not only acquire knowledge but implement it in a way that leads to long-lasting results, to balance awareness of time and space, and to combine forward motion with full engagement in the present is how we can get the best out of any Gemini transit. The house with Gemini on the cusp in your chart holds many of the attributes listed above, that’s where you can be a dilly dally, or go through more changes than most. The Gemini house is where you will always have to learn, adapt, negotiate, share and communicate, apply new skills, change direction repeatedly, and shift as your understanding evolves. It is where you need to be the most flexible and experimental. Avoiding stagnation and boredom is essential. Following your curiosity is the key.
I have noticed that incredible things are accomplished by people with a strong Gemini presence in their chart, because of the lightness and speed with which they pick up new skills. Gemini energy is known for its ability to travel to the darkest parts of the psyche and to the most radiant ones with the same attitude of curiosity and readiness to explore. If we can do that in relation to this Uranus in Gemini transit, we are on the right track.
From April 2026 to May 2033 we have a planet of radical change and revelations in mutable, airy, quicksilver Gemini. The age of Air is officially on. I want you to really think about it, and think about the qualities of air. Because the rest of our lives, and of many who follow us are tasked with lessons that revolve around flexibility, ideological alliances, movement, imagination and learning to see reality as a much more malleable concept.
In the home of fixed Taurus, Uranus has been constantly facing delays due to the Taurean refusal to let go easily or accept the inevitability of change. The square between Uranus in Taurus and Saturn in Aquarius also delayed and obstructed changes that needed to happen. Uranus in Taurus was slow, draggy, without enthusiasm, and had a two steps forward one step back vibe. I expect completely different energy from Uranus in Gemini. On the positive spectrum these two energies connect more easily. Both are mentally wired, fast, changeable, and in favor of transformation. On the negative spectrum the erratic and unhinged qualities are also on the rise. So it is what we make of it, I guess.
If you ask me, I am excited. I am excited for local communities to ruffle the feathers of the establishment, for people wanting to engage with other people in unusual settings, for books getting cool again, for speaking our minds before we even think about what is coming out, for taking a lot of road trips, for writing radical novels and stories, for being mentally audacious, and for having some fresh air to imagine a new future. But for all that to happen we need to bring forward an upgraded, non-negotiable value system from the Uranus in Taurus transit. Uranus in Gemini will not hold its tongue. It will challenge the truth. It will dissect it. And it is deeply necessary that we begin thinking differently about various facets of our lives. The truth is we might understand many things, but our intrinsic, first mental response might still be the same. Uranus brings profound and electrifying aha moments that rewire how we think about life and how we move through it, and maybe the end lesson will be the dethroning of the mind in favor of something that is a bit less tangible. We’ll see.
There will be many reforms in relation to children’s education, as a lot of structures that hold the current educational system will be falling apart. Which will make parents and teachers come up with new, innovative ways to educate kids. The subjects and classes will be changing too, because the priority in what is essential to learn is shifting so fast. Home schooling and also very small school setting will become a complete norm by the end of this transit.
Uranus in Gemini is known to transform the way we commute, innovating transportation and the speed with which we travel. I have found that during previous Uranus in Gemini transits, long distance and local train systems were first established all over the world. In the next Uranus in Gemini transit, commercial airspace travel might become a reality, hope not though. At the end of this transit previously the first step in space exploration happened, with a V-2 rocket becoming the first man-made object to cross the Kármán line and reach the edge of space. The speed with which we cross time and space is changing, and it will happen again. But do we need it all, that’s the question.
Of course language and its influence on the collective has been a huge part of Uranus in Gemini. I think each of us will have an opportunity to redefine our relationship with words and storytelling, what kinds of words and stories we tell ourselves, why we use them, and how they impact us. We need to be very mindful of how language is used on us, because from my research Uranus in Gemini is one of the heaviest propaganda transits in existence. Let us not forget that it is a Mercury ruled transit, and as much as it is eager to share information and new findings, it can be prone to trickery and lead us to conclusions that are not fully grounded in truth.
So much of how our society functions now, tax code, military structures like the industrial complex, agreements between certain countries and groups, and many key laws were all established during previous Uranus in Gemini transits. Starting from the Constitution of the United States to the creation of the United Nations, NATO, the Pentagon, and all of the US secret services, much of it came into being with Uranus in Gemini. The current Palestinian genocide has its roots during a Uranus in Gemini period. The state of Israel was also established then. It is striking that both the United States and Israel have Uranus in Gemini.
We live in a deeply Mercurial reality built to move at an accelerated pace, largely due to the strong Uranian influence present when the current world order was created. The next seven years depend on whether we can recognize the cost and consequences of handling Uranus transits carelessly and becoming pawns in chaos engineered by others. The history of Uranus in Gemini is complex, to say the least. For the United States it is connected to different kinds of warfare. For the world at large it represents automation and optimization that left many people jobless and in need of entirely new skill sets. Nothing is new under the sun.
This is a chaotic transit, but it is also filled with the opportunity to disrupt past Uranus in Gemini narratives, to elevate our understanding of Mercury, and not be swept into mindless consumption. Chaos is fertile ground for choices we could not otherwise imagine, choices that can make a real difference in our lives and in the collective arena. This month invites us to make moves that affirm our true essence and lean strongly into the unknown.
Next I selected some key dates from past Uranus in Gemini transits, that I believe are related to the upcoming changes. On we go to my research.
I honestly recommend everyone to look through these events, most of them are about to have a next stage of development. Note the themes as you look at these events, it is nothing short of extraordinary. Everything that was planted in the last two Uranus in Gemini transits ( almost 170 years) is our reality right now, we are in such Mercurial reality. Time to break that reality up.

Aries Rising
Uranus enters your 3rd house. The next 7 years are going to be about your efforts, learning new skills, having bursts of mental clarity about what you want to do, talk about, and write about, who you need to connect with, which ideas have to be shared, and not second guessing yourself every step of the way. The third house is about trade, marketing, communicating, and with Uranus you are asked to experiment, to use platforms and avenues you haven’t used before. Uranus is about unconventional approaches. It is associated with high speed, authenticity, invention, and breaking through limitations. In the 3rd house you have to start using your voice and be prepared to make mistakes. Uranus rebels against authority, and the 3rd house is about finding out for yourself, by doing, by connecting the dots yourself, sample the world by getting involved locally. There is lightness and speed to this transit. Humor and audacity are your best allies. Starting projects that are all about connecting different people, related to debating or simply having spirited conversations. Writing about something you might have never written before, changing your opinions often, but never to the detriment of your integrity. Maybe you’ll start a book club and put it on socials, maybe you write a book yourself, maybe you open a new local establishment that is a talk of the neighborhood or something like that, do not limit yourself. Uranus in Gemini is about making efforts to connect authentically and in the spirit of revolt and freedom. Mercury rules your 6th and 3rd houses, so the chain reaction touches your daily life, job, routine and maybe your health. Allow yourself to test new habits, new daily essentials, go to new places, new eating habits.
Taurus Rising
Uranus exiting your first house can leave you feeling like yourself, but the self you have never met before. It can be a disorienting recovery period with Uranus out of your 1st house initially. It will take a bit of time to get used to this version of you, one that fought a hard battle with the old one. Uranus in Gemini activates your 2nd house now. It is time to experiment and get on a speed track of bringing this new version in alignment with what you truly value and what constitutes stability for you. The 2nd house is all about values, prosperity, stability, pleasure, how you value yourself, and your foundation. In Gemini, with Uranus in that part of your chart, the more you can diversify and create multiple streams of income the better. Writing, creating with your hands, and teaching can become your main sources of stability. Your capacity to connect with new people, new ideas, and communicate your vision to the right audience will become your source of abundance. Learning about different financial topics, innovating your relationship to resources by connecting to new communities and groups is vital. This is a time to challenge your own limitations when it comes to creating stability and security. It is very important that you do not limit the potential sources of prosperity. In Gemini it is all about diversification. Also, something related to the land or working with the land can bring you more security and a sense of community. Mercury rules your 5th and 2nd houses, so the changes in the ways you creatively express yourself, maybe children or education for youngsters will be a part of this transformation, maybe your desire to communicate who you truly are will drive these changes. Allow the way you transmute your values and your whole identity to surprise everyone. Uranus in Gemini invites opening new modes of communication in your 2nd house. Allow your playfulness and inner drama to be revealed in maybe disruptive and at times funny ways.
Gemini Rising
Uranus enters your 1st house of self and identity, and you are in for the ride of a lifetime with this one. The first house encompasses who you are in this physical reality, how you carry yourself, and where your body is taking you, it is also about your life focus and overall well-being. Over the course of the next seven years, you are going to transform in many ways, try on many hats, and most likely shift from one group to another few times. The first house is the most personal one. It is your body, the direction of your life, and it drives your purpose. To have Uranus in this part of the chart is an electrifying experience. It will provide you with sudden insights and revelations about what you are truly meant to do and how you will get there, but not right away. Uranus is a liberating energy. Any limiting beliefs about what you can or cannot do are going to be shattered. All the ways you have constructed, consciously or unconsciously, an idea of who you are that is not aligned with the divine plan will also be discarded. Yes, Uranus transits can be unsettling, but they are also the most exhilarating opportunities to return back to your truth. If there were suppressed dreams or goals, they are now going to start demanding your attention. It is about allowing your body and your instincts to guide you forward. I often see people moving a lot during such times, sometimes back and forth. It will be much easier if you do not resist these changes, and I don’t think you will because of your mutable nature. Most importantly within this experience, find things that can ground you, even if it feels like life gets a bit too chaotic. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, rules over your 1st and 4th houses. So themes of identity, personal truth and freedom will intertwine with your family, home, your base and what constitutes stability and nourishment for you. The search of the self here often drives a person in the search of their home, both literally and metaphorically.
Cancer Rising
Uranus enters your 12th house of unconscious beliefs, solitude, isolation, faraway lands, spirituality, self-sabotage, and the unseen world. When the planet of revolution and liberation transits through such an elusive and hidden area, you might not be able to initially notice or pinpoint what is happening. Change is taking place deep within you first, it is a subtle mutation of your core mental principles. You might crave more alone time to reflect, to allow your thoughts to roam freely. You might want to escape and go travel for a time, or become interested in different spiritual practices. The Mercury-ruled 12th house often becomes a hostage to the thought patterns that originated before you could have a say. These patterns are changeable and inconsistent. Uranus will bring to your attention the effect your mind has on you on a very deep level. Also, the 12th house is a house of sleep, meditation, and rest, so in those states you might be receiving unexpected insights, revelations, and ideas that seemingly come out of nowhere. It is also very important that you set a very strict sleeping routine for the next 7 years, because Uranus here can cause disruption to your sleep, sometimes it is less sleep, but for some it is the opposite. Traveling and connecting to people in distant places will be easier and more exciting. Understanding deeply all the ways you self-sabotage and flipping the script is all in the books for Uranus in the 12th house. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, governs over your 12th and 3rd houses, so movement of all sorts becomes more prominent, and your relationship to your immediate environment, your surroundings, neighbors might shift. This is a time for making an effort to learn new skills, to maybe hermit for a bit and let your mind roam and explore what truly sparks your curiosity.
Leo Rising
Uranus enters your 11th house of hopes and dreams, gains and earnings, friends and like-minded people, humanitarian pursuits, large organizations, long-term goals, and purpose. This is one of the most beneficial houses. It is all about the intersection of purpose and integrity. This is where you align with not just a career, but how your career needs to be purpose driven, how it can have a ripple effect. Uranus is very comfortable in the 11th house, the core of this house and of Uranus are very similar. This is the playground of Uranus. Over the next 7 years your understanding of ambition is going to shift. Your community and the means of your personal expansion are going to get on a whole new level, the disruption to the idea of belonging, where you belong and where you don’t might surprise you by the end of this transit. Uranus here will renovate, innovate, and revolutionize your highest goals and the means of achieving them. It will put you in the rooms you had no idea you belonged in. It is going to liberate you from misalignments and mismatches when it comes to your friend/network circle. If you have an understanding about what your job and source of income is, but have little understanding of what your purpose is and how you can really be of greater benefit in this world, Uranus will make sure that by 2033 you know. It is lightning insights about wanting to collaborate with so and so, wanting to build a company or a community with so and so. It is about daring to dream really big dreams. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, rules your 11th and 2nd houses. So the changes Uranus makes in your 11th house will have a direct impact on your house of values and resources. The way you bring material stability into your life changes in relation to who you work/collaborate with. The invitation is to allow this mutable energy to transfigure the familiar ways of relating to the world and ways you are able to gain things in the world.
Virgo Rising
Uranus enters your 10th house of career, worldly ambition, status, public image, relationship with authority, relationship with the parental figure in your life, how you show up in the position of authority, older people, responsibilities, and reputation. Uranus here is going to either change your professional direction in life, change the industry you are in completely, or change your attitude toward your goals in the position you are already in. This is a public house, and Uranus delivers insights and changes you might not have expected, but ultimately Uranus liberates you from responsibilities, goals, or projections from the outside world that do not really align with your authentic self. If there was something you wanted to do professionally, maybe you want to be in a more visible role, maybe you’ll have to move around or travel for your work, maybe you decide to become a full-time writer/speaker or start some kind of Mercurial endeavor that will grow in the course of the next 7 years. This is the time to liberate yourself from the idea that anyone is an authority in how your professional life plays out. If the professional life you have been on for a while feels stagnant and unfulfilling, Uranus here is going to flip the script. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, rules over your 1st and 10th houses. The change in your career is a manifestation of your identity going through a mutation of sorts. It can also start the other way around, with the ruptures in your professional world, your sense of self can come under a sharp review of Uranus. How you think and what you prioritize is going to change more than once in the course of the next 7 years.
Libra Rising
Uranus enters your 9th house of exploration, spiritual seeking, publishing, travel, universal law, higher learning and education, foreign people, pursuit of truth and freedom. This house vibes so well with the principles upon which Uranus operates, and Uranus trining your rising sign is always a bonus. Uranus in this house will overhaul a lot of your belief systems and maybe your understanding of what freedom means to you. The insights coming in the next 7 years can be related to going back to school, relocating to a whole new country, traveling way more, exploring a variety of spiritual disciplines or maybe you even decide to write a book. The essence of this transit for you is about coming into greater freedom by releasing a great deal of outdated mental constructs about the world. Uranus brings things into your environment that might initially feel like your world going upside down, not being sure what are your beliefs are and where you stand, but that jolts you into a seeker mentality, wanting to ask questions, expand formerly held opinions and take risks that can introduce you to people from completely different walks of life. Search for connection with a higher power can lead you into life changing experiences. This transit is about shattering the boundary of who you can relate to in this world, because it is through stepping into the unknown territory you understand that truth changes its face depending on the angle from which you ask. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, rules over your 9th and 12th houses. Both of these deal with spiritual expansion, with foreign lands, and a seeker mentality. Your understanding of higher power, relationship to foreign lands ( maybe you live abroad) will undergo a number of changes.
Scorpio Rising
Uranus enters your 8th house of hidden wealth, loans, taxes, investments, secrets, shadow work, your deeply buried fears, trust muscle, sharing resources, both material and emotional, intimacy and transformation. The planet of liberation and reformation in such a sensitive part of your chart will surely bring you face to face with all the million ways you may be preventing real intimacy and trust from manifesting in your relationships. This transit is about the liberation that comes through when you give up the idea of controlling the outcome, when you give in and follow the curiosities that stir the most protected parts of your selfhood. Uranus in Gemini in the 8th house is daring to explore the darkest corners of your mind and discover that when you venture into the darkness within, you are met by the wealth you haven’t even known you possess. This transit can break you out of the toxic patterns by introducing you to people or circumstances that draw you out of excessive self protection mode ( aka control setting) into greater trust. Facing the discomfort of your vulnerability and the depth of feelings will open you up to the intimacy you might have never experienced before. With Uranus it is always a process of dismantling first, so any mental constructs around shared resources, agreements, dependency and independence will go through a reconstruction process. Mercury rules your 8th and 11th houses. So right away it becomes clear that developing a level of lightness and non-attachment ( I know it sounds impossible), is directly tied to your ability to connect to your community and tap into the purpose that might not be something you have ever envisioned. Allow people and ideas a bit alien to your mind to come into your world, less control will do you good here.
Sagittarius Rising
Uranus enters your 7th house of one on one relationships, professional and personal, marriage and business agreement, client work, dealing with legal matters, how you show up in your relationships and how you engage with the existing social norms. Uranus in the 7th house is going to challenge your idea of personal involvement and the rules around it. Often it shows up in relationships starting like a fire and ending just as fast, or even if the relationship stays intact, it is 180 from what it used to be. Of course that’s not always the case, sometimes it is the rollercoaster of transformation within a single relationship that takes place, but either way, the liberation from the patterns within your one on one relationships is inevitable. That liberation has to do with the balance of personal needs and the compromise required to be in partnership, and if your patterns of relating are off balance and are not fair to either party, Uranus will make it very evident. And that is a really good thing. The essence of this transit is understanding where you end and another person begins, and finding freedom in this discovery. Greater space and freedom will be much needed in all your relationships, and especially mental and ideological space is advised. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, rules over your 7th and 10th houses. The one on one relationships can have a significant impact on your public image, career, or social standing. The connections you make in the next 7 years can potentially bring more spotlight into your life, or you decide to share more publicly about your one on one relationships.
Capricorn Rising
Uranus enters your 6th house of service, daily work, pets, health, selectivity, routines, habits, improvement and also criticism, healing and digestion. To have Uranus in this part of your chart is to have your daily life and the way you take care of yourself to be taken apart and put back together in the course of the next 8 years. This is a house of work, so don’t be surprised if the circumstances at your workplace are going to be changing repeatedly until true alignment clicks. If your routine, health habits or work environment instead of being a supportive and aligned container has morphed into something that limits your freedom of self expression, it is going to get a proper Uranus treatment. The insights and sparks of inspiration can be about how you take care of yourself day to day, how you approach your work and maybe how you would like to be of service differently. The sixth house is where we focus on the details of our day to day activities, and with Uranus here, you might want to approach them in a way that is unusual or tailored to your inner rhythms, not what society expects. Also your relationship with your health might go through some shake ups, making you rethink your attitude toward it, and try healing methods or dietary regimen that are out of the box. The relationship between food consumption and mental well-being might come to the surface. Because 6th house is a house of health, and Gemini deals with nervous system, respiratory and stress related conditions you might want to think in advance how to re-organize your life to not be easily rattled. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, rules your 6th and 9th houses. The changes in your day to day reality can lead to the changes in your overall world view, spiritual inclinations and more traveling, or deciding to pursue a higher education.
Aquarius Rising
Uranus enters your 5th house of self expression, creativity, children, romantic relationships, risk taking, gambling, creativity, your hobbies and things you do for fun. This is a time to really put yourself out there, to play around with the idea of visibility and a more light hearted approach to self expression. Any narratives and mind games you are playing with yourself just to avoid putting your ideas and creative vision into motion are now going to get exposed. This is a greatly supportive transit for you as Uranus is going to trine your rising sign at some point in the next 8 years. Modern astrologers consider Uranus to be your ruling planet, I don’t, but I am not going to deny that a lot of characteristics assigned to Uranus really do reflect your essence, so it should be a natural flow. Something in your approach to romance and dating is going to change, maybe you’ll get into relationships with people who are radically different from your norm, maybe through these relationships you’ll discover unknown facets of your personality. Another area of life that is going to be under serious reform is children and relationships with children. If you don’t want any, it might be a creative endeavor that deals with children’s education or building new unconventional avenues for kids development. But most importantly it is about putting out there the most authentic, creative ideas into the world, about playing it big and maybe even a touch dramatic. Mercury rules your 5th house and your 8th houses. So these changes might start as a bit of fun and creative experimentation, but they will eventually lead to more profound shifts in your subconscious mind. The invitation to explore your creative ideas, might lead to you facing your deeply rooted fears about being criticized or not doing something perfectly.
Pisces Rising
Uranus enters your 4th house of home, roots, early childhood, family, ancestry, place of living, homeland, safety, nourishment, mother and relationship with mother figure. Having Uranus transit through such a private and sensitive part of the chart is going to redefine and transform your relationship with home, safety and the idea of family. Uranus is a liberator, but in the 4th house it might initially feel like you are losing your ground, like the walls you constructed around you are cracking, but what’s happening is that you are going to re-draw lines between safety and freedom on a core level. This transit creates space for a home and family dynamics where you can show up as you are fully and feel safe, the yearning for a space and a feeling that allows for your radical authenticity is strong. This transit often speaks of a relocation, sometimes even to a different country, and overall changes in your living situation. Also the dynamics between you and your mother might be changing, you might be realizing things that will lead to looking at your childhood, and your family differntly. Also because this is Mercury ruled transit, your home might become a more lively and active place, you might be hosting more, maybe people you invite over are going to be in some ways unusual or eccentric. This is a time to allow the old ideas about safety and security to crumble, because there is a more aligned, freedom affirming mindset with regard to home that is here to take over. Mercury, the ruler of this transit, rules your 4th and 7th houses. The relocation or change in family dynamics can lead to new relationships, or like a chain reaction once the attitudes to safety, nourishment and your upbringing changes that has a natural effect on your one on one relationships. What you need or expect in your one on one dynamics now and what it morphs into in the course of the next 7 years are two very different things.
